Vegas & The Aftermath - Diary

I changed £50 into € at Dublin Airport (agreed, hardly the best place to find value) & they gave me €56.

The Fitz changed up £100 for me, & I got €124. (Which they bought back at the same rate).

How long before we see the £ & € at parity?

Of course, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, except for soppy sentimental reasons, for the UK to be a Member of the EC but retain it's own currency. We can travel the length & breadth of Europe using a common currency, which is incredibly helpful, but Great Britain remains wedded to the past.

Wow. Such a travesty. And one second later - 10.42.12 - jizzem Posted, before bolty had time to. It took him another 10 minutes to Post. 9 minutes I'd have allowed, but 10......

Alitalia Airlineses, Italy's Flag-Carrier Airline, is heading for bankruptcy, & not before time, it's the world's worst, worse even than Air France, & it's received illlegal Government Subsidies which have now come out on top.

Michael O'Leary, CEO of Ryanair, has waged a PR offensive against Alitalia for some time, he loathes their carrtel, their illegal financing, & they are preventing him ftrom doing his thing in Italy thy way he wants to. (Who can blame them?, Ryanair would murder Alitalia).

The Ryanair business model is awesome, & I admire Mr O'Leary tremendously, he's in my Top 10 Businessman of all time. (the "google" twins, Buffett, Weinstock, Jack Welch & Bill Gates are the top five). But he's not exactly a gracious winner, & he's also a bit early with the rubdowns. This was painted on the Ryanair jet I flew home in on Sunday! Gotta love O'Leary.

I was just about to change my mind & give it to him, but not now. That's terrible.

I feel so dirty.  I hope you can forgive me.  Nothing was edited; my whole post was a work of fiction.  I will do 10 hail marys.  please bear in mind that i was just trying to help a friend and very decent man in his time of need.
