I'm staying in Luton tonight, but head home first thing in the morning to attend to some business. Then I head down & book into a London hotel - probably at Heathrow - and plan to hook up with some friends in the evening for a meal & a chinwag, go back to the Hotel after, so I can get to Feltham bright & early on Friday for a Telecon at Midday, & the Primo Show in the evening, after which I'll head back home.
Saturday I hope to play, for the first time, the

£200 Freezeout. Sadly, I've not been there for almost a fortnight, as they canned my fave Comp of the week, the Sunday night £100 Freezeout, so I go to Luton on Sundays now instead, but I'm looking forward to Saturday's £200 Freeze, which should play really well.
Then on Sunday it's back down to Feltham for the Sunday Showdown. I'll stay over, as I'm doing Monday's Show too, then go home. Back to Feltham on Thursday for the Five-O, back home on Friday to pack, & down to Feltham again on Saturday for my first ever

Show with the Fish Compo presenting - that's one I'm really looking forward to! Stay over, then fly to Vegas on the Sunday morning. Time is just whizzing by.
I'm surprised you don't get a paper round to occupy you during those long dreary hours between 0600 and 0800.

A Crop Circle (see below, left, ) was found in the West Country yesterday. It purports to represent a complex mathematical formula, which represents the first ten numerals of pi. On the right, is a graphic of the formula.
The Times notes......
Lucy Pringle, who researches the effects of electromagnetic fields on living systems and crop formations and has the largest database of crop circles in the world said of the phenomenon: “This is an astounding development —
it is a seminal event.
”
She later also remarked that she believed sofa-king when he Posted that he could swim 400 miles round Cyprus in 4 days.
It's not that exciting.

I typed "Ian", but it's pronounced Antony. "Iantony".
In fairness to you, they do bear a close resemblance between one another.

Wow - he was the Chip Low entering the Final! Nice one Alex, delighted for you.
And Lord Lynch copped yet again - a Luton Legend.
A terrific evening.

I spotted this in Clarges Street, which links Curzon Street to the road which runs alongside Green Park.
It seems so incongrous there, for some reason it seems odd to have them in the middle of Mayfair in a Shiny Signwritten steel & glass-fronted building. Why don't they relocate to Swindon, or Newcastle, Milton Keynes, or even Slough, where the rent wold be about a tenth of the Mayfair rents? What do they actully do there?
They keep a register of pedigree dogs and bitches and charge a fortune to accept your puppies as such. They also decide things like how long a dog's muzzle should be, or how loose it's skin is.
Ahh, very useful, eh?
Presumably functions which would not be possible if they were based in Slough?
Sounds like they have their heads up their arses to me. I bet they take themselves very seriously.
Typical puppy. For the sake of argument, lets say a Labrador. Bred on a farm, from excellent stock. Sound in temperament, wind and limb, but not KC reg. Value.. £50.
Same breed, from a puppy mill, diabolical conditions, no one cares about temperament or genetic defect, but KC reg. Value £450.
What a strange world we live in.
I won't ask if Kizzy is KC registered, then?
No. And by dint of this ommision, nor could any of her progeny be, Ever.
They could be the best in the world, but they could never be best in show, or even enter Crufts.
Bizarre.
You're both being too nice to them. If the animal cruelty people, the RSPCA/SSPCA etc really want to sort out cruelty they'd be pushing for the Kennel Club to be disbanded. We had a dalmatian, a beautiful, intelligent loving dog, she had a small pink spot on her nose, KC recommendation? Put her down while still a pup. Then you get the standards which lead to selective breeding that can change a dog from a specific type for a purpose, to an animal with DELIBERATELY introduced breathing defects, the inability to walk/run properly, and the inabiility to even give birth without medical intervention. And these people claim to love dogs?? - thank f*ck they don't hate them
Bulldogs as they used to be (and thankfully some have been bred back to). Remind you of Spike in Tom & Jerry? He was based on the 'old' standard bulldog.
Bulldogs now

Anyone remember what a Siamese cat used to look like 20 years or so ago? They were beautiful creatures back then..these days they're all skinny..nothing but walking skeletons because they are all bred to be that way..the entire race destroyed IMO.

Can't blame the Kennel Club for that one

OK then - they're a pet hate of mine (no pun intended). I'm always ready to go on a rant about them.
I've another rant against the RSPCA, but I'll save it for another day.

Oy!! There's nothing wrong with breeding them mush. It's when a committee tells you what they should look like that the trouble starts.

yes it does. We took a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy in 2004 from a breeder, it came with KC forms etc etc
Always a family pet, no intention of the dog being anything else. Poor Dog was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 6 months, and was corrected through several operations
the hip dysplasia was said by the vets to be a genetic trait within the breed only within the last 15 years due to inter-breeding and unscruplous breeders..
Dog completely healthy and great family pet now, but we were stiched by the Breeder (and our own lack of research if truth be told)
