And doing the Walk of Shame down that oh-so-long Rio Corridor. That must be some long walk after busting out of the Main Event. Those that struggle to take defeat are worth avoiding in this Corridor, it's sort of Bad-Beat Alley. "Did you hear how I went out?". "Err, no, but I guess I'm going to"......

But Will was fine, he'd done well, & was delighted with himself. And $40,000-ish, minus a 3% swap.

Sky have taken all the Qualifiers, including Will, & their Guests, to a Vegas Show tonight, but although it's part of my brief to help look after them, I asked to be excused, I have so much to catch up on, & Theatre Shows are not really my thing.

So, well done Will, & we move on.

Asked the family if they'd mind my popping over to Vegas for a day or two and me Mom nearly had heart failure.  Had to tell her I was only joking.  Sigh.

Ah well, good thing you're keeping us up to date.  Cheers!

Camel had just flopped the Nuts twice in 4 hands, & is now right in the mix, after a mid tourney hiccup.

For him to Final would be just wonderful, he's as liked & respected as Thewy, Joe Beevers, or any player in the UK maybe.

Hard to take a bad picture of this young lady. Someone (SteveG?) complimented me on my pics of Kara & Liv, (thank you), but I think it's all about starting material.

Sky Poker have a nice blend of Presenters, (expert analysis, by fish, for fish), & some of them know what they are talking about. Kara was still in 20 mins ago & could well go further. Then again, there's Compo. I suppose nothing's perfect. I've really missed Compo not being here, the Yanks just can't figure his game at all. Then again, who can?

Go on then, as you asked, just one more Kara pic. She's wired-for-sound here, as she's on the feature Table. Just in case you wondered what the wires were for.

Oh YES. That I would like.

Greg Raymer & Ben Roberts, have both told me this week that in their opinion, players over-analyse & over-complicate what is really a very simple game. Ben Roberts - who Busted about 160th - told me he'd not made a mistake in 5 days, & I would think Keith sees the game in really quite simple terms. But these guys do have that extra ingredient - good judgement.

Keith for the Final would do me nicely. And he can.

Ah well, good thing you're keeping us up to date.  Cheers!

Hi Dawn - we had rain, & a violent electrical storm last night. In Vegas!

My mini-pictorial WSOP Updates are about done now, as I plan to take a rest for a few days now, I'm a bit tired.

We start each morning out here at about 10am, & work through, if "work" it be, until about 4am, & two weeks of that is catching up with me. Sent a fair bit of filmed Vegas footage back to London, none of which I'll ever see, except the Generic "Big-Name" interviews which will be released over the coming months, and a "Vegas Story" 1 hour Special, a compilation.

And I can resume my Diary "proper", I've not really Updated it since I've been here, Run for cover.....

A pile of "awkward" e-Mails need replies, that's a day's work (sorry Tighty), ditto loads of PMs.

I still have a Vegas Blog to write daily, not sure if it will continue beyond today though. I'll do it tonight & it's up to Sky then, if they want it, I'll do it.

And I do a weekly Blog for them, just "my week in poker" sort of thing, but I've not played this week, so it'll be a bit thin. I'm astonished at the readership it gets, which before any says as much, is down to clever marketing muscle, not good writing, but everywhere I go people mention it.

I struggle to write when there is no feedback facility, so Forum's suit me better, but I've tried to improve the quality of pennage since I realised just how many people read it. I did a piece 2 days ago which I was, for the first time, almost totally satisfied with, but I tried to repeat the trick last night & could not find the "spark". I don't think it helps that I have to do the Vegas one at 2am, after an 18 hour day. Reading the Diaries of Red, Tighty, Snat & other is almost embarrassing, they are so well written, but at least it gives me something to aim for. Even old dogs can learn new tricks. Or try to.

And there I go again, rambling on about something & nothing, thinking out loud. The Diary is back.

You sound like you need a rest though, take time and recharge
