The Open Championship 2007

I've dabbled on a few outsiders that I consider to be overpriced, as is my wont.
This week I'm on:
John Daly @ 600 (shown up on some leaderboards stateside lately and is still hugely talented)
Jerry Kelly @ 300 (been in sizzling form recently and that price seems too big)
Brian Davis @ 330 (played in the US this year but has featured in Opens before, so has the game)
Graeme McDowell @ 140 (I consider this guy to be one of the biggest talents around)
PS.
I have also had a small bet on Alastair Forsyth @ 610 (another whom I rate as a great talent waiting in the wings)
Good luck everyone !

McDowell is playing great golf at the moment and you feel he has more to come. Although he still has to prove it and now is a good a time as any.
Jim Furyk @ 26 is a massive price especially ew
Im on those 2

Ok.... I want to back Harrington but at around 28/1 feel he is a little too short. He has been reported to have been playing Carnoustie a lot over the past few months and plays well in windy conditions. But his form this year hasn't been great. So, after tipping him for ages i am not going to bother backing him. Therefore he will probably win.
I'm instead having three outsiders...
Richard Sterne is having a great year, winning at Celtic Manor and placing last week at Loch Lomond. 120/1 is available.
Scott Verplank won the Byron Nelson. He is in great form, with 4 top 10 finishes in his last 4 starts, this includes 7th at the US Open. He has course form, finishing 15th in 1999, also finished high at Royal Troon in 2004 available at 110/1 at the moment, I can see him being a big tip in the racing post and being as short as 50/1 by Thursday.
Boo Weekly is available at 290/1. His name amuses me. He also once had a fight with an orang-utan

I am going for the big value bet and picked a couple of long shots
Paul lawrie at 500-1 (e/w with 18-1 top 10) A better player than that price suggests and he has done it before
Ross Fisher at 800-1 (e/w with 30-1 top 10) A real talent who just need to come of age, played well in the scottish open
Im going to the practise day tomorrow to check out the course and hunt down some more hidden talent..........
good luck all

I have gone for just one each way single: Niclas Fasth @ 40/1
Picked three in the US Bank Championship also each way: Kenny Perry @12/1,
Trahan @ 66/1 and Craig Kanada @ 100/1
With three small each way doubles as well

Lay Woods with a Yank. I've got some great odds on him in the past.

I've just read a quote from Furyk where he states that this is the softest links he's ever seen for an Open.
If there's a little typical Scottish summer weather our Jim might regret saying that....
