I'm in hot water in the pressroom. Compo's playing the Mansion comp and asked if I'd take over his hands while he interviewed Philip Hilm. Of course, I duly obliged, happy to fold until he got back, until I was dealt Pocket Queens... that is.
Blinds were 25/50, so I raised it up to 175, content to take the blinds if need be. Worryingly, the big blind called and the Flop came 9-6-6 rainbow. He bet out 200 and I flat called. Turn was a 2, he checked, I bet 500 and he called. River was a King, and we both checked, although I had to persuaded to check by tikay.
Unfortunately, I lost and Comp wasn't too chuffed when he returned moments later, but can anyone work out what Mateyboy had?
ps. Never ask me to take control of your game!
He had Pocket Kings. How on earth could I put him on that?!
My defense to Compo was swift, "Well, it could have been worse, if I'd have raised the Flop your whole stack would have been gone."
He still didn't seem best pleased.
Glad I didn't bet that River.
