Playing a live game last night down to the final 3.
Dealer has ~ 18k
SB has ~ 2.5k
BB (me) has ~ 5k

Blinds were 500 - 1k and the SB announces he's going all in blind before the hand is even dealt.

Dealer folds, SB as he said he would moves all in blind. you have 1k in the pot already, about 1.5k more to call.

What hands are you calling with and also what hands are you folding?

I had  three diamonds what should i have done?

Instacall.  The maths dictates that it's correct to call.

You need to put 1.5K in to win a pot of 5K = 30%. Even 32o is 32% to win against a random hand, hence you should call without even looking at your cards.

Someone might try and make some sort of scaredy-cat argument for folding based on the payout situation, but unless this is a sat with 2 seats on offer that should not apply (unless you're a real nit). Even in a 2-seat sat, you can't fold everything waiting for the shortstack to go out.

K3 rates to be good here. Instacall. It may suck but you also have to call with 32o.

I would have folded here to keep the game 3 handed and then ask for a chop based on chip counts.
