$2/4 full ring game. I had c.$400 as did other relevant player

Dealt in BB

3 limpers and then player in late pos raises to $20

I reraise from BB to $64 and folds round to original raiser who calls. Total pot now $150

What do you put him on here?

Flop

I bet $88 and he flat calls

Now what do you put him on?

Turn

I check and he checks

River

At this point I considered pushing for last $200 ish as I thought he might fold if no heart, but in end checked

Should i have played differently?

He showed  and won the pot - Guess I should've pushed in hindsight but should I have at the time?

My humble take is that i like the reraise pre and i like the CB but once he calls that you can only realistically put him on the ace.
Time to give up (as you did) turn) checking is fine but having put him on the ace it's not unreasonable to assume he could have the Ace of hearts so a push would be disasterous IMO once there are 4 hearts.
I think you did well, you lost the minimum.

Your play looks ok to me , given it is a favourite he has an ace from his actions PF and on the flop.

My gut feel is that a river push is +EV, as it needs to work less than half the time to be profitable.
Probably depends whether you've been caught at it over the last few rounds.

I agree with the river push being +EV here..although I hardly ever have the balls to push when OOP.

pushing here is yes +EV but also a push is a worse sign of u not having the heart than a much richer value bet on river to tempt him into calling, or so it seems, maybe 150?

I think you played it fine, as for the river push I wouldnt but with position if he checked I might if I was happy he would put down a no heart hand.
