Kevin O'Leary's stack continues to grow larger....

....that is till he doubles up Paul Jackson to 35,000 or so. Paul's Q8 spiking an 8 on the turn versus Kevin's AQ on a Q high flop.

Surinder is very short but wins two pots with raises preflop uncontested to add 4k to his stack of 7k.

you hear the story of the guy yesterday down to one 100 chip. he threw it in, got  in a four-way pot. The flop was K hi and a guy bet out with KK, took the side pot and muked his cards, not realising there was 400 on the side. As the fella mucked, the guy picked up the 400 side pot and was last reported as having 30k!

I think Paul actually had Q9 on a Q 9 x flop to double vs Kevin's AQ. Apologies for that!

No wonder he hasn't replied to the text calling him a fish. Mind you Q9 preflop, actionjack's loosening the top button now...

Sunny Chattha lost a few chips when he flopped two pair against a button raiser who turned the nut flush and Sunny was forced to pay-off a bet on the river.

Final hand of the night and after a few limpers, Surindar Sunar makes a big push from the button, the small blind passes threes, Ian Herbert calls in the big blind and Stuart Nash is forced to pass his A-J

Ian Herbert:

Surindar Sunar:

Board:

(!)

40 players left today, meaning 83 will return tomorrow at 4pm. A full chip count list will appear before then on this and the Day 2 thread. Until then, I just like to thank Junglecat for coming to update, and I'm sure you'll agree he did a great job.

He's out. Went out yesterday.

I tell you, this updating thing is harder than I thought!! (I'm updating for Blue Square) Bloody good fun though, it's been a riot in the press room at times. Anyway, it'll be good to see Dana tomorrow, even if we do lose Junglecat, who's been a good laugh over the past few days.

See you all tomorrow for day 2 (Day 3 for us press hounds!)

I can't believe you guys are still awake.

Well done to all of you, players - particularly Stuart (Nash), supporters and updaters.

Exciting play ..... can't wait for 'Day 2' ....

I'm afraid the Flushster is out, & he's gone home to Brighton, suit 'n all. But he made a few bob on the week, in Cash & Tourneys.
