Browsing and playing poker, like Graham said, not a lot at all. Downloading music and films (and other stuff like that) is what racks up the downloads.

Download this piece of freeware, and then you'll know how much you're using on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

if you were playing 4 tables and browsing forums all day every day then next to nothing, my guess is about 30MB a day (not much).

I suspect you have other stuff running, eg windows update, adobe update, email checking, virus updater. If you turn any or all of this off it will lower your usage. You can also disable pictures while browsing if you want which will speed up browsing as well as lower data usage.
I assume you are figuring out which tariff for a 3g card or something? You can get bandwidth limiters I think, sort of a firewall thing that stops outgoing data unless you authorise it, I don't remember what it is off the top of my head if you are interested and can't find it, let me know and I'll have a search for it.

Are you checking how much data you are using on the 3G modem now or on you broadband before you move to the 3G? I'm pretty sure the vodafone connection manager has a built in data usage monitor.
If your planning to use the 3G contract for all your usage then 3GB could be close to what you use. If only some of your usage is over 3G then you should be fine.

I'm checking my broadband
Yes it does have a built in monitor, (Is uploaded data counted too?)
Only some of my usage will be via 3G

Yes, that usage does sound a bit high for what you're doing. Unless you're going through the Youtube thread....

I think that usage is accurate because when I stop playing and browsing it drops to almost nothing.
I used over 100MB in the first 2 hours but have only used about 8MB per hour since.
