Trying to play a little more cash games but much prefer tourny games. I think that every time I play I must be playing wrong as always get results like this. Guidence in cash will be greatly appreciated before I decide to knock it on the head and stick to tournies. The reason I want to play more cash is that at the moment I find it hard with my present situation to be able to find the time to sit for hours on end in mtt's so thought cash could be an option for the time being.

Mansions.

i think you should raise flop with draw heavy board but he wants to get all in anyway with his 8 outs, you're the favourite it's what you want right?

Nothing too wrong with the hand Mo - he played it badly and got lucky.  Reload.

One thing though, it's often a bad idea to play cash games as an alternative to an MTT due to time constraints.  When I've done that I tend to deviate from my 'A' game.  Not sure what the decent cash players think, but I'd advise against playing cash to fill in a spare hour or so.

I'm in the same situation as i have a 3 month old baby and can't play many MTTs (nappies etc.), but I disagree that you shouldn't play when you have an hour or so to spare. It's a question of trying not to force the action to play pots with marginal hands.

i just multi table (on Mansion mainly) in order to play more hands in the time I have available and have adjusted well as I have become more of a lag which consequently (I believe) has helped me FT in my last 3 tourneys. I used to be way too tight but don't believe you can be profitable in cash waiting for AA etc especially as someone will call with a pp and hit a set

You played the hand pretty well IMO

Yes, agree with this you should play sets strongly on drawy boards.  By the time the play got back to the str8 draw he isn't making that bad a mistake.

But that aside, keep getting the money in like this and you'll be in profit in the long run.

I wonder if  the fact that you have so many players to act after you, your flat call on the flop is not the invitation for others to join the race?

I would have raised a little more PF especially after an EP limper. I'd also raise the flop because as the others said, the board is quite draw heavy and theres a few players to act behind you. If he's going to chase his double belly buster, make it expensive for him so he's calling without the correct odds.

Like I said , tourny is my game really and have great results, but cirumstances do not allow me to play as much as I used to, so I think Kin is right, I shouldn' just jump into cash for 2 or 3 hours. I guess what I did here was to try and make a big pot out of a dangerous flop, the call  / reraise of another $53 to go on the flop wasn't going to put the Dbl Bly off.

Cheers all.x
