i think everyone who came out and said it was a scam should now come out and publicly apologize

yes he was a complete stranger then who doesn't read the forum and he is still a complete stranger now who doesn't read the forum but its still not nice to make unfounded accusations even against total strangers.

apologize for what ? offering an opinion ? people were asked what they thought of a situation. People who have extensive experience of Ebay said in their opinion it sounded dodgy, and to be honest, it did sound dodgy.

people dont have anything to apologize for.

ok, my request for the public apology was meant more towards the people who were quick to cast dispertions against a persons character (albeit a complete stranger) rather than those who though the concept of what was taking place was a scam.

My apologies for not making my post clearer Smiley

Fair enough - maybe it is just me then but whenever i post my opinion, especially against someones character and it turns out to be untrue then i'll always try to hold my hands up and say i got it wrong. There are many instances on the blonde forum where i've done it in the past.

(and chances are there will be many times in the future when i have to do it again. Cheesy)

No one criticised the buyer's character.  We all advised Sofa to be cautious in case the buyer wasn't genuine.  Hardly a character assassination - especially as we don't even know who the character is in the first place.
