I would just like to say that it was the whole pressroom experiencing said difficulties, and I've now got Homer connecting a special cable to some power like Doc on the Clocktower in Back to the Future.  We now resume transmission.

Short stack News Now:

Short stack Focus on - Ross Boatman... The Hendon Mobster was just all in under the gun for his whole 2,175 or so, but it passed all the way round, giving him an extra 450 to travel to the Antoniusetc. table with.  Unsurprisingly he was all-in again almost immediately, this time over the top of Marc Goodwin's under the gun raise to 1,000.  Big blind Martin Wendt called the all-in, and after a brief deliberation during which Ross reminded Marc, "Course you can raise..." Mr. Cool opted to call, leaving himself 6,725 behind.
They checked it all the way down until the board stood:  three diamonds , at which point Ross said, "Give me your chips," flipping .  Marc mucked the and who knows what Martin Wendt had.  Life once more in the Boatman stack.

The table with the most randoms gathering close to watch now has Patrik Antonius, Martin Wendt Marc Goodwin and Ross Boatman more or less in a line.  Antonius must have around 50k (but his chips, as so often, are in single coloured towers which look great but are hard to count), while Martin Wendt has just under 30k, and the two English players are not so comfortable.  There's a lot of preflop raising going on, as you might expect - just now Patrik Antonius raised to 900, was re-raised by Martin Wendt to 2,550, took a flop but check-folded to the 4k bet as the cards came Two Diamonds

Mmmmmnnnnn....Wirey.

Oh no! The aliens that got Phil Starrs yesterday appear to have got Praz Bansi too! And it's when he's sitting on the same table. Roll Eyes What are the chances? Perhaps the table should carry an 'Alien Abduction' warning sticker in it?

Karl Mahrenholz is OUT. Q-J shove for last 2.2k ran into A-K.

Javed Abrahams is on 40k.

"Any stories?" I venture.

"Not really, these just keep trying to bluff me."

Prizepool has been done, we're still waiting for the full prize list but I can tell you first prize is going to be:

€1,170,000

or

£793,024.31

or

$1,597,148.80

or

4,847.112 Palladium Ounces. And, I think we can all agree, that's a lot of Palladium Ounces!!

Ian Woodley -- 42k (having won a big coinflip with Queens vs Ace King)
Praz Bansi -- 25k (Improved since Karl began to rail him)

Jeff Garza seems to be in every pot on his table. First he calls a 2.1k bet on the turn of a three diamonds two spades board before the river goes check, check. His is good for the 8k or so pot.

Next he takes down another with a 2.5k bet on three diamonds. Rolf Slotboom says, "Jack high at best." Jeff smiles.

Marc Goodwin and Ross Boatman have a little tussle,

Flop:

Marc checks, Ross bets 1.5k, Marc calls.

Turn:

Check, check.

River:

Marc bets out 4k, and Ross decides to let it go.

Roughly half the field left and we almost about to start the final level of the night. (300/600/75)

Drum roll please... Chip Leader Watch:

It looks like Dani Stern has topped the 80k mark (or is about to at any minute), his stack towering over the others on his table...

Elsewhere Karl Mahrenholz declines a railbird picture as he watches Praz on the accidental feature table and gets one anyway, along with a very relaxed looking Thor Hansen across it.

I took one look at this player's headgear and decided it had to be Humberto Brenes... but no - there is a secondary red visor in the room - the plastic shark afficionado is actually sat one table back.  There hasn't been a lot of shouting from the volatile and often delightfully incomprehensible Costa Rican, but then again there hasn't been a whole lot of TV filming either... he's hovered around average chips all day, with around 18k at last count.

The back of Rolf Slotboom, typical tic-tac topped tower just visible (and only totalling about 20k)... it looks like he's prepared for the weather to turn, or someone to set the fire sprinklers off... considering he was wavering about playing as recently as last night (which he spent updating in the press room) he's had a fairly good day.

Also pictured, Ian Woodley, approaching 37,000.
