Ok, Jen and I have just grabbed a quick bite. Jen will no doubt be raving about her giant slab of steak. Served on a hot brick. And that's it. Nothing else added.

But anyway, some Woodley news.

Pre-break, Ian had to let go of Aces, after raising them up and receiving 3 callers. He bet out 1.5k on an all club flop with no , found Patrik Antonius re-raising to 4.3k and then Adam Junglen moving all-in behind him. Woodley and Antonius quickly passed.

Woodley then managed to doubled through with against , all the money going in on the turn of a board.

Ben Grundy is down to just 4k after his set of Queens on a Q-T-7 board was cracked by a straight draw which got there on the river.

John Shipley's ship has sailed and his chips shipped meaning things aren't ship-shape for Shipley.

Nicholas 'Croque Monsieur' Levi suffered a coolerific moment against Fabrice Soullier. Nicholas was holding 7-7 on a 9-9-7 flop, Fabrice was holding 9-7. Ouch.

Levi shortly doubled up afterwards with erm... 9-5, 6 people limped on his big blind and he raised it an extra 1,700 more leaving 3k back. Only the small blind called. The flop came a not entirely unhelpful 9-5-2 and the small blind bet 2k and was forced to called for the extra 1k with a lowly J-T against Levi's top two pair.

Greg Raymer has doubled his short stack with against in a blind on blind confrontation. The board coming .

Dave Barraclough is OUT. He ran Kings into a set of Eights and then Kings into Thor Hansen's Aces.

Andreas Hoivold is glum after having his Aces cracked by Kings.

He has more chips than Greg Raymer though, who is OUT after having Jacks lose to King Jack which four-flushed. Then he had Jacks next hand and lost to Queen Jack.

Players are on a short break and then it's time for 150/300. And you know what happens in the level after that...

Great updates guys ty, count for the Rocket man please and could you tell him Matt says 'get your cheap nasty crappy white girly sunglasses on you tart' tyvm

Gourlay has 10,500, and actually said he regretted not having those amazing sunglasses, as, "I'm wearing white."  So you are, Paul, so you are.

Also passed by his table as he was taking a pot off none other than Flying Dutchman Marcel Luske - he'd raised to 600 on the button, called by Marcel.  They both checked the flop of , with Paul taking the pot with a 700 bet on the turn.
"Every time I listen to 'Rocketman' I win a pot!" he marvels as he stacks the chips.  "Let's try it again!"  I can just picture his sleek black ipod nano with just one track on it...

I am not sure who this guy standing up is but he wins today's Getting It Quietly award (a scale-model bronze foghorn):

A pot of aover 6k had built up around a board of , and pictured gent was in the process of talking his now very short stacked opponent into calling all in.  He'd pushed, and was saying, "You have to call..."  "I think I might," agreed short stacked oppo.  "Call.  Call!" he urged, with that kind of persistance last seen in the Hypnotist from Little Britain.  Eventually he got the call from some reluctant ... his for the turned nut straight with Good Measure Flush Draw stayed the winner, at which point he leaped up, hi-fiving some wall-attached lurkers and generally looking delighted.  "Yeah!"

Gobbomom, Hartwith, your requests are giving us the direction we need.  Might have been about to post some interesting hands from the Omaha cash game, but we're back on track now... while we're off on the Casino floor, here's a picture of Original Scandie Thor Hansen, whom I completely missed from all previous chip counts because he's on this strange lone table which is, as you can see, hidden from the prying eyes of the rest of the room by 5-deep spectators and some unlikely palm trees.

Ryan Fronda, Tony Cascarino and Dario Minieri are all out. The latter seems to be sitting down it what looks like a special big cash game with John Duthie, and some locals I'm guessing.

Here are your three requests Gobbomom.

Jeff Garza, having just re-raise a late position raise from 1.2k to 4k to take it down and put his chip count up to 15k. I'm not sure what he makes of Rolf Slotboom, putting on what looks to be a raincoat, next to him. Cheesy

Adam Junglen, on 20k. Paying so much attention to his surroundings that he spotted me counting his chips and told me in a heartbeat.

Dani Stern, doing the best of the three. He's got around 37k, and probably in the top five at the moment.

Ben Grundy, pictured earlier, wearily, is now OUT - Facing a raise to 1,250 he pushed all in for what was around 5,200 but looked like more due to the impressive nurturing of the green (25) chip towers.  Pretty much instacalled, the Milkybarkid surmised "I must have the worst hand," before being shown and finding his to be ahead.  "Not yet," he foretold, as the board came Two Clubs two hearts Two Diamonds with a on the turn and an irrelevant on the river.  By the time the Nine was settled on the table Ben had already left the card room.

Liz Lieu  16,550

Stig Top Rasmussen  19,200
Thomas Wahlroos  44,500
Praz Bansi  6,300
Rolf Slotboom  9,200

Marcel Luske is OUT - short stacked (compared to his table) he limp-called preflop with , hit a J-rag-rag flop and check-raised himself all in.  He was up against Queens.

Big pot developed between Dags Martin Mikkelsen and Patrik Antonius.

UTG raised, Patrik called in EP and Dags called on the button.

The flop came two spades

UTG checked, Patrik bet 4k, Dags made it 10k. UTG folded. And then Patrik made it 25k, in effect setting the young Norwegian all-in. After a couple of minutes with the shown pained look on his face. Dags decided not to risk his stack and an expressionless Patrik, (is there any other sort?) raked in the pot.

A slow day for both Praz Bansi and Karl Mahrenholz. The former just took down a pot with a 2.5k bet on the river of a board. Going better is Javed Abrahams, quietly moving up to 22k.

I would just like to say that it was the whole pressroom experiencing said difficulties, and I've now got Homer connecting a special cable to some power like Doc on the Clocktower in Back to the Future.  We now resume transmission.

Short stack News Now:

Short stack Focus on - Ross Boatman... The Hendon Mobster was just all in under the gun for his whole 2,175 or so, but it passed all the way round, giving him an extra 450 to travel to the Antoniusetc. table with.  Unsurprisingly he was all-in again almost immediately, this time over the top of Marc Goodwin's under the gun raise to 1,000.  Big blind Martin Wendt called the all-in, and after a brief deliberation during which Ross reminded Marc, "Course you can raise..." Mr. Cool opted to call, leaving himself 6,725 behind.
They checked it all the way down until the board stood:  three diamonds , at which point Ross said, "Give me your chips," flipping .  Marc mucked the and who knows what Martin Wendt had.  Life once more in the Boatman stack.

The table with the most randoms gathering close to watch now has Patrik Antonius, Martin Wendt Marc Goodwin and Ross Boatman more or less in a line.  Antonius must have around 50k (but his chips, as so often, are in single coloured towers which look great but are hard to count), while Martin Wendt has just under 30k, and the two English players are not so comfortable.  There's a lot of preflop raising going on, as you might expect - just now Patrik Antonius raised to 900, was re-raised by Martin Wendt to 2,550, took a flop but check-folded to the 4k bet as the cards came Two Diamonds

Mmmmmnnnnn....Wirey.

Oh no! The aliens that got Phil Starrs yesterday appear to have got Praz Bansi too! And it's when he's sitting on the same table. Roll Eyes What are the chances? Perhaps the table should carry an 'Alien Abduction' warning sticker in it?

Karl Mahrenholz is OUT. Q-J shove for last 2.2k ran into A-K.

Javed Abrahams is on 40k.

"Any stories?" I venture.

"Not really, these just keep trying to bluff me."
