I've only played Ivey once, thank God.

He is the only player who has ever intimidated me at the poker table.

It felt like I was playing with my cards face up.

A truly scary experience.

I too have only played with Ivey once at the WPT in gay Paris last year.

He moved all in on the button with 23 - got called and got knocked out

Forgot to mention - It was beginning of day 2 - he was in a foul mood cos he had to come back as shortest stack and along with the rest of the yanks thought Paris was a dump

I played against him when he was "hungry" for success.

These days he plays in cash games so big, that a first prize of a million or so just doesn't motivate him.

If he is, in horse racing terms, a "trier" (and the fact he's been a short stack for so long and grafted away in true Tikay style suggests he is) he is quite simply a monster.
