About the cards...

I notice my suggestion of the card smileys has been implemented.

However, it might be of interest to note in my original post I suggested using the format :<insert smiley letters here>:

The two colons ( signify the use of an emote. This is standard practise in most forum software packages, other than the typical style smileys. AS an example, this smiley uses the very same format.

This would avoid words like AS being substituted with the ace of spades.

Given it is a poker forum do you not think it makes more sense to have the cards on top?

mikky the new smiles that i add will use the :test: format or ;test; format depending how lazy i am at time
old smiles will remain the same as they dont interfere

the cards are only problem

what i am not willing to do is have hand histories where half the cards are shown the other half not it ruins the whole thread and people end up not reading it

i would prefer people posting to be able to do it easy without needing to put it thru convertors etc etc so it leaves the old Ah and As problem
i coulld make the Ah coded Aht and the As Asp or add :: then it means all the cards having :: added (which is what i done first off) but this means hand historys are all text unless people use convertors

so as most people on forums dont use caps i thought As would work looks like i was wrong  because everyone is starting sentances with as this week

for serious post without smileys in them its easy enough to hit additional options then hit dont use smileys in this post

that requires people to put effort in a preprocess the historys which many wont want to do or wont know how to
