My biggest ever loss please mock and abuse me.....

I'm one of those players who's only to happy to post when they've had a big result in an MTT or won a load on a cash table but you never hear about the bad days..
Therefore after surveying the wreckage of my poker session last night I need to own up to my biggest loosing session since i started playing poker two years ago and having it in writing will hopefully help me learn from it.
I'm mainly an MTT player but wasn't feeling 100% and decided I wasn't in the best frame of mind to sit down for a long MTT session so instead decided to fire up two $1/2 cash tables.
Within 40 mins I had lost 4.5 buyins ($910), first two buyins were from having Aces, Kings and Jacks beaten by lower sets despite 3 betting pre-flop, I can't explain how I lost the other 2.5 buyins as my worst tilt ever took over me, I was just aggressively throwing chips around in a zombie like state any poker knowledge I had gained in the last two years had gone out the window a long time ago. Opponents weren't bothered about pot odds because they knew they had the best implied odds ever if they hit their gutshot or flush then they would stack me so they were all playing back at me. There was no chat going on but I could feel they were all sniggering at me behind their monitors. Then I came to my senses and realised chasing my losses at this table wouldn't work so I left.
Felt so bad last night, told the wife who still thought I was on micro limits and if i played NL cash was only risking $20 at a time. I now want to use last night as a positive SO i don't experience nights like that too often.
I know now my main mistake was sitting down at the table in the first place when i wasn't feeling 100% and then not coming to my senses and leaving quick enough.
Fortunately Bankroll management was one of my strengths when i started hence why it's took two years before i started playing $1/2 so I need to get back to basics, my bankroll is now $6k so I'm going to step down to $0.50/1 when I play cash and build it back up again and not risk significant amounts of my bankroll in one session.
Also need to reevaluate my game as I just rely on what was my strength at the start which is aggression, this coupled with not being as patient as I used to be is not the best formula.
Anyway I would appreciate it if you would mock and abuse me for my efforts last night.
I'm now $950 down for the week, what do you estimate will be my win/loss for the week by Friday?

Just learn from it - you seem to have answered your own question anyway.
Mind you, loosing $900 from a $7k backroll aint too bad - I've (and I am sure alot of others have to) have done ALOT worse believe me!!

Can't mock someone for losing a lot of money, it's not nice and I sort of know how it feels to lose a lot, even if it's not quite this much at this level.
Good luck getting it back, you'll do it soon enough, like M3 says, just learn from the mistakes.

All part of the poker learning process..........welcome to a very non exclusive club. Methinks your honesty will soon turn this setback into a longterm positive

Been there, done that, had the t-shirt (but they took that off my back as well).
Realising why it happened means you're less likely to do it again. What you've said makes sense, and I'm sure you'll replenish the missing dollars in no time - but be patient.

Whenever I have had a night of BIG TILT, I usually find that it is the kick up the backside that I need.
This usually comes at the end of a period when I haven't been playing that well, and it makes me stop and take a step back to reevaluate.
Looks to me like you are making the right noises, so I predict a good rest of the week for you.
BTW, might not be wise to focus on where you will be by the end of the week in terms of profitability - you are starting behind, and a bit more negative variance could tilt you again.
Just make sure you play each session well, at the right levels, decent session length etc...
If you can tick those boxes, you are likely to have had a good week anyway.
Good luck chap - keep us posted.

V Good post. Theres too many people who never STFU about their winnings but you never hear about their losses. Losing is part of the game.

As you see from the above sickly comments, mocking and abuse can't be obtained free on the internet and you will have to take out membership with one of the sites that specialise in such matters.

yeah we've all been there..Lord knows I've set down at a table with stakes that are simply too high for my bankroll many a time and then I donk it all off... it's a very harsh lesson to be learned..I just wish I'd learned it after the first time it happened.

but, and it's a big but.................when you sit at a larger stakes table and WIN.It's very easy to sit down again at a later date and have a reversal of fortune. Thats when bankroll management goes out of the window, and your mind remembers the time when your bankroll increased significantly in a short amount of time.
Beware of the demon on your shoulder that encorages the "sit down"
