First let me say thank you to Tighty and the rest of the Blonde management, for considering me for the Blonde Hal of fame.I was completely overcome when Tikay whilst going through his preamble at the BB this last weekend, gave a glowing testament to someone, who sounded not unlike me.
I was sat next to Simon Now ab,waiting to start the BB tourney, when suddenly Kev came over to present me with a lovely framed cert confirming me as an entrant into the 'Blonde Hall of Fame' And drowned out by applase I was Stunned.
I have enjoyed immensely my time at Blonde, and though, as many of you know ,I live every day as if it were my last,I hope to be around for a good time yet.

Tightys  kind words, have stopped me in my tracks . Whare did he get that info from I don't talk about my medical condition,as i dialise to live not live to dialise.but I'd like to say that , after my 5th transplant in July 1986,it was a group of policeman who answered a desperate call from the sergeons at Diulwich,to line up and donate the 40 units of blood i needed in the couple of hours it took to repair the burst Artery in my left leg where my new graft had been attached to.
As a side point my surgeon(Mr Michael Bewick) told me later, I only survived cos another surgeon happened to be in the hospital early that Saturday morning, and was able to assist in the fixing process.

I did indeed lose my darling wife Karen in March 2001, and it was her I thought of as the presentation was carried out. She'd have been made up RIP Karen,
I have luckily two wonderful grown up children,Tom who started the Bath uni poker soc, some years ago, and the dizzy Lucy, who's antics keep me on my toes, and who plays a mean game herself, though is too occupied with her design work to attend any live games at the mo.

Although knocked out by Simon Nowab after the first hour of Sat's BB tourney, I still had a great weekend, and of course was pleased to see Portsmouth Kev take it down, hugh unlucky Mel (Londonpokergirl) who took defeat with her usual good grace.

It was great meeting old and making new friends, everyone is so nice to me,their caring should be bottled, it would solve many problems.

But just a final special thanks to Glenn(bigfalla) who kept a close eye on me.even coming back to the future inn, when i arrived in town just to save me from coming over and also going back to the hotel alone......thanks mate.

Well done on a truly deserved award Brendan.

After hearing about the struggles and challenges you have faced in your life I thought it was especially cruel of the poker gods to give you a seat between Simon Nowab and Ironside on Saturday - surely no one should have to suffer like that?
