hey guys, how long per day do you usually spend playing poker, and how much do you think you would need to be playing to get to a good level of play, thanks.

I don't really get time for playing, probaly play around 4 - 6 STT's or MTT's a week, luckily this operation has given me some time.

Lobotomy?

But to answer the OP's question - what do you mean by good?  If you have the mind for the game and the right approach, you can be playing 'good' poker at low level limits in a very short time.  If you want to play in the big game at the Bellagio, it might take a little bit longer.

Or if you want to be as good as Kinfishi, just read the rules that come with a cheap set of chips.

Law of averages, you spend more time playing, more chance of getting lucky and more chance of making more dough.

It's worth noting though, time spent walking in wild places, sleeping outdoors, listening to old folks talk, making children laugh, and playing poker is not deducted from your allotted span
