As far as I know (and I am probably wrong), there are two variations of RNG's used:

--One where the flop, turn and river are predetermined at the time of dealing the hand.
--One where the RNG is continually whirring and comes to a stop (per se) after each "decision" is made, so that the flop, turn and river isn't decided until each player has made their decision.

Does Anyone know which sites use which? I think I would prefer to use a site which decided the fall of cards as near to the way a normally "live" dealt deck would be dealt.

Sorry if this is confusing for a Saturday morning!

I can sort of understand why sites keep their RNG info secret, but I can't see why the rng has to work in a way which isn't the natural way a game would work if you see hwat I mean ... I mean can you imagine the outcry if there were continuous shufflers at poker tables? In effect that's what we appear to get at some sites.

I like freeform Latin - it's very fluidus.

I prefer the RNG that is used when each card is chosen depending on each action, rather than if the deck was say preset, meaning the turn and river already decided. If someone could somehow get into the programme and know what the preset turn and river could be, well it would be disastrous for everyone.
At least with the RNG without the preset cards it makes it very hard for someone to cheat as every decision alters the shuffle. (I hope)
As to which sites use which, IM not sure.

In answer to Heid's question.....

Almost all sites now use the "take a card when needed" method as it is far more secure, if the card's are stored it's open to all sorts of foul play.

And it will never be like it is live, it's more random than that
