EasyPar - The FutureDear EasyPar Fans,
First I must appologise for the lack of information over the last few weeks. There is of course a lot of reasons but no excuses.

Over the last few months EasyPar was getting harder and harder to manage based on various problems like
-Disjointed code that was very hard to maintain
-An unstable database solution
-Badly written code and database structures
-Complicated features that is not adding value to the game.

During the last few months I looked at making changes to these areas without affecting the game, without success, as it just increased the mess already created by the complicated code. The game was also stagnating, as it became impossible to change anything, due to the complexity. As a result the game was taken off-line, and information got transferred to the new SQL database now active and operational, still with a few problems. However, a lot of the code is being re-written to simplify EasyPar, and it will be a few weeks still before we will see the first tournament running again. In the end I want to break away from the Hattrick mould and make EasyPar a game of Tactics, not Cash. I want success in Easypar to be based on the following in order of importance,
1) Tactics
2) Fatique management
3) Form
4) Skill
5) Experience
And an important aspect should be that through fine tuning of the Tournament Program, players who change their tactics to match their form will be the most consistent on tour.

I hope you will stick with EasyPar for a tiny bit longer and even help over the next few weeks to design some of the courses we will be playing on in future. This is an interresting new feature which should make EasyPar a lot more interresting.

Kind Regards
TD

World Ranking and HistoryWhen the new EasyPar season start players will retain their current World Ranking as well as previous tournament history. The exception will be that the ranking method will change slightly to closer match the real life world ranking method, so that recent results will count for more towards your ranking than tournaments you were in 20 weeks ago.
There will be only one order of Merit per season on one tour, The EasyPar World Tour, and your playing privledges for the following season is dependent on your performance on the global EWT order of Merit.
TDPracticing - The FutureFor the moment no one is able to practice and I estimate that practicing will be available in around 2 to 3 weeks time if all goes according to plan. It is important to note that the plan is to have a form for various areas of your game which will fluctuate outside your control. For example, the distance you can fly your driver will fluctuate in the parameters of your experience, lets say from 260 to 280 yards and fluctuate between 10 yards left of the target and 10 yards right of the target. The only gain you will get from practicing with your driver is to gain knowledge about your game for that week. If you for example realise that you are hitting the ball a little left, then it might be wise to aim a little right for the week, until you can fix the problem on the range. Practicing does not cost anything, but it will effect your condition.
