from the Slough Palace website
LIVE - POKER CHANNEL 265 BPO OPEN HEAT 8pm
Gus 'please stop re-raising me Mel ! ' Hansen
Roy ' keep me a place in the commentary box, I'll be there in 10' Brindley
Dave 'and when she showed me 64 off I could have cried ' Ulliot
Reg 'I knew I should have played for the money' Holdsworth (Get minted)
Some budget rent-a-hand Internet person who should know better
and finally Her Royal Flairness - Mel 'I give 'em Hell' Lofthouse
This six handed slaughter session commences at 8pm, they should be safely in her pocket by about 8.30pm and the routine task of seperating the wheat from the chaff should conclude around 11 ish
(apologies to any of the above who might be reading this, but Im completely biased)

Cut 'n' paste merchants! GL Mel I would watch, and I want to watch but unfortunately your event clashes with tonights champions league game where the mighty reds will kick stinking chelsea back to the southern hole they came from

Hi There, As the pro for www.getmintedpoker.com (the site which mel qualified on to get the seat it tonights game) I thought it only correct to point out the mel (londonpokergirl) was one of the two internet qualifiers for the game tonight. Gus, Dave and Roy are the pros (subsidised by the network) and the other competitor is a journalist from the Telegraph who is also paid for by the network.

Yes of course,
The whole competition is basically a marketing exercise for sites to promote their own offering. One of the requirements of the channel for all participating sites was that they have at least 2 professionals and preferably 3 out of the 6 that make the heat with the remainder being internet qualifiers.
The majority (if not all) of the pros in this event have been by invitation only and they have all had their buy in paid for by the sites (again this is to the best of my knowledge, there may be the odd one that has bought in).

Excuse my ignorance on this 1. Are you saying that the British Open is made up of heats from various online Poker sites? If so that explains why every time i get to watch one of the programmes its called something else
