Just watched the last episode, which ended with Tony,s daughter walking through a cafe door to meet them for dinner!!

And then it ended... was that it,did i miss somthing important,I had read it was a disappointing ending, but that was beyond poor.

Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft?
Of course not.

its the man going to the toilet which leaves you guessing, gives the impression he would be come out firing like in the godfather. , the 3 main characters where not killed off so i think they have left the door open for another series in the future

I hated it so much. SUCH A MASSIVE LET DOWN.

I was quiet traumatised after watching it. I mean come on, surely that wasn't it...?

It was a cop out Laz.

The last 3 or 4 episodes were superb (the penultimate episode especially), the series deserved a better finale not the veiled threat of a another series or God forbid a movie.

All good things come to an end.

I'm led to believe that it is being filmed from his point of view. ie he gets whacked and therefore being dead can't see anymore, hence black screen.

then a gunshot would have helped, or filming the whole sequence P.O.V.

I agree with teacake, the whole of the last series was very good and if they wanted to kill him, a sudden brutal execution, like everyone else gets would have been better.

the final series went to great lengths to remind us that Tony and his crew were no less unpleasant characters than the other crews, and that his family were basically accepting or even supportive of his 'career'. It felt like we were being setup to see Tony get what all bosses eventually get. Then at the last second, we were robbed.

It's like getting to the end of a library book to find the last page missing. However obvious the ending, you still want to read it for yourself.

as none of us have ever been shot in the face to confirm / deny that, a bit of artistic license might have been acceptable

This the general feeling on all the Soprano's fans forums.

Here is my favourite one.Bit of a read but compelling for Soprano's anoraks like me.

oh lets resurrect this argument.... hehe

Its allvery well mateyboy writing 10K words on what is in his effect just an opinion....

he cant prove a thing.

One thing I do know though - there arent a lot of hitmen out there who would sit and drink a cup of coffee, leaving fingerprints and also there being loads of people to identify him, and then perform the hit. That idea, is quite frankly, laughable.
