I spotted Marty Smyth pacing up the other side of the cardroom with a face as long a 4-lane motorway. Call me pyschic, but I think he might be out..

Thomas Kretschmer is nearly all but out, his seemingly formidable stack being demolished by Irishman Phillip Hardy in what was a 40k plus pot. I didn't catch how the hand panned out, but the board read
and it was 7k more to Thomas, who eventually called only to be shown

It is safe to say that today's pace is slightly faster than yesterday's. On table Mallu, I arrived to see a board, 2 players standing up and a mountain of chips over the line for both players. Alli's opponoent was France's Ludovic Lacay. The board read:
Alli Mallu
Ludovic
There was chaos as both players tried to work out who covered who, and it looked like both the chip leaders tangled in this pot. Ludvic had 46,750 and Alli had 45,000 so Ludovic took the whole lot for a pot worth well over 90,000!!
I knabbed Ali on his way out and he said that the money went in when the 7 paired on the turn, little did Ali know the monster that Ludvic was holding! Wow, take a bow Mr Lacay, you are chip leader by a grand mile and you were definately not "Mallued."

Just talked 2 Danny there at the break, he's at 10k, very much card dead, got aces at one point but got no action..
He dropped a few k not long before the break when the button raised into his BB, SB called, so too did Danny wit KQ suited. Flop comes K high, he bets 2k, Button made it 8k and Danny let it go.
Spirits are high though, he reckons he has to be due some good hands soon.
Fingers crossed!

The players are now on a 60 minute dinner break and we are about to join them for what is, I hate to admit, a below par buffet, but a free one nonetheless. I shall not be dining with Jeff Kimber, as he is still refusing to make his move on our game of Scrabble, even after my valiant effort in yesterday's effort. I don't know if you share my thoughts, but I feel that I have been treated rather harshly.
By the way, don't you hate it when the taps in the toilet only activate for a second or two when you press them meaning you have to do each hand individually. Rubbing the soap off your hand with the fingers on that hand is a skill that can't be taught, and one that the Scandieboy currently in the gentleman's simply doesn't possess.
Back soon!

Very unripening of him.

i had 33, feel sick as a dog. Mr Hardy is definatelly someone who will stack off with an overpair so imagine my joy at the flop, only to get re re raised on the river, i almost folded but couldn't quite do it. still got 5k.
