finally decided to sign up.

i've met the team at a few events and you do a super job.

There was 20 mins of raise and pass and then a raise came from Thierry Van Den Berg for 25,000, called by Daan Ruiter.  Flop

     Thierry to speak first bet 18k, called by Ruiter.

   Thierry bet 46,000, again just called by Ruiter.

  Thierry thinks for a minute or so then announces all in for a 245,000.

This gives Daan Ruiter a decision to make, and he doesn't take too long to make the call with still about 400,000 left behind if he loses.  The cards are turned over and we all hear,

    for Daan Ruiter
    for Thierry Van Den Berg.

So a big bluff gone very wrong at a bad time for Thierry.

Thierry Van Den Berg is OUT and becomes the 8th place finisher winning €47,650

Michael Durrer is OUT and becomes the 7th place finisher winning €66,370

Holy Moly, they're dropping like the balls of a blind juggler here in Dublin, the latest victim of the felt being Pokerstars qualifier and German inhabitant Michael Durrer.

In what was perhaps an odd turn of events, Trond Erik Eidsvig open pushed under the gun for what I believe was just over 100k (blinds 5k/10k with a 1k ante) only for Michael Durrer to call pretty swiftly just one seat down with .

On their backs, and it was Trond who had his man on the rails, Durrer's Queen dominated by the Pocket Ladies ( ) of Trond.

An Ace-evading later and it was brow-wiping time for Trond, his tournament life still in tact and leaving his less fortunate neighbour with just 20k in chips.

The very next hand, Durrer was gone, all-in with against Annette Obrestad who was left to pick up the pieces with . A sealed the German's fate and we're down to just 6 poker Trojans.

View from ladders.  Maybe I should have thought have longer about my choice of attire before heading up those ladders, short skirts and ladders dont mix I have found.  Oh well, I got a picture and Team pokerstars that were holding the ladders got a story to tell....

As an appendix of sorts, I caught up with Brandon Schaeffer on the sidelines to pick his brains about Durrer's virtual all-in call with the A-Q and ask him what he thought of the move. Personally, I was surprised that Durrer made this call when Trond had pushed all-in for well over the pot raise. However, Brandon Schaefer was less critical (he's certainly in a better position to comment than I am), adding that he thought Trond could be making that move with any Ace and therefore be in a position to be dominated by a hand like A-Q.

On return to the arena, I see that Anders Pettersson is quietly laddering himself up the placings has about 70,000 chips left, in the small blind against Trond Erik he moves all in and Trond makes the call easily as he has an Ace at least.

I read on some **other** site that it was Annette who knocked out Petersson.  Confirm/deny?

Raise, all-in, call and we have even more action than a Mission Impossible movie, the latest clash being a Holland/Fin battle.

In truth, it was a simple affair, and perhaps a slight cooler:

Reijo Manninen = A-A
Daan Ruiter = A-K

Board = 5-6-J-4-K

As evident in the aforementioned chip counts, Ruiter had his man covered, so is still alive, but only just. In contrast, it would appear as though Manninen has surpassed the 1 million mark.
