And as I've said earlier, the argument of 'a Mod shouldn't say that' is a crap one. We're members of the forum as well & have the same rights and responsabilities.

I disagree, mods are supposed to calm situations down and try to prevent arguments, this is not the same as regular users of the forum who have the right to just not get involved.

So if a mod feels strongly about something they're supposed to not say anything?

Tikay disagrees.

So it's mods have no extra responsibility's to the regular members?

Extra responsabilities, yes. Gagged and not allowed to take part as a normal member, no.

Yes, they have extra responsibilities. They also have opinions.  (Just like shareholders really)

Gagged to the extent that you can't talk about the details of your private discussions in the mod room and who took what position on these issues.

I always thought the unwritten rule was that this included publically asserting your own personal postion in those discussions, unless you're man of the people Tikay, who would frequently post, "well I think A guys and gals, but we'll go with the mods desicion of B"  Cheesy

Basically, taking the huff and telling Bandit/Turny that you're no longer their man in the mod house, we can't really count that as taking part in discussions as a normal member.

Taking the huff is totally cool in and off itself though.

Well I wouldn't put it as taking the huff. Running out of patience possibly.

Fair point I probably shouldn't have mentioned it, but you know yourself how galling it is when people jump to wrong conclusions on how decisions are met & who is their latest 'little Hitler' etc.

I'll admit, the modding job certainly did get annoying/infuriating at times.

If only you guys had some sort of place you could vent your frustrations among each other without the rest of the board seeing. Wink

I'm liking this thread at the moment - a sneaky peek into the mod's room for us mere mortals.

It's like we've snuck out of bed and are sitting on the stairs listening to mum and dad having a row.
