I haven't signed up, I probably never will. I tend to shy away from, or even resent doing something just because everyone else is doing it.
Have you joined? Please answer yes or no and say why.

Yes
I was a late-ish adopter, and have grown to like it particularly finding out how bad I am at scrabble.

Yes, wish there was a way to leave properly though.

I have because it was a very easy way of keeping up to date with friends I may not ordinarily see. I'm far too lazy to spontaneously write an email or pick up the phone but typing in a chat box which is already open I can just about manage.
But I don't have any truck with all the application stuff. No, I don't want to be a zombie, or 'see if we're alike' or any of that other crap, so those of you who keep inviting me for all this stuff please stop. The only good one was Scrabulous, which was a million times better than all the others, and that lasted a week before I got bored.
And another thing - status updates. Either put some effort to write something vaguely entertaining or only use it to tell me what you're doing if it could possibly be of any interest. 'X is tired', 'X is off to work' or 'X is eating dinner' is a complete waste of everyone's time.

same. It's also a good way of organising events without having to email/phone/post invites and for sharing photos.

I did register a while ago, once. Don't know why but I think someone asked me to. Never been back, never had the inclination since and I doubt if i will.

Someone signed me up then emailed me the link, so I accepted it. Sadly they did it with a typo in my name which I can't seem to get corrected.
The photos thing is pretty good, but I'm yet to upload any.
