Jen limps utg-plus-one. Michael Trimby raises to 200k. Jen Mason reraises all in, and Michael calls. Waahhhhh the excitement, people are falling off of chairs trying to see the table...
Jen -
Michael -
Board -
And Michael Trimby doubles up. We have a new chip leader (stacks in their photos below not accurate - I took them a while back but think they look appropriate here).
]]
We spoke to Jen about this hand and I apologise as I gave Dana some incorrect info that made Jen look like a bit of a
HOWEVER, the hand played out differently...
Jen had RAISED to 60k from UTG+1 and Michael reraised to 200k.
Michael is definitely one of the better players at the table and Jen realising this, felt strongly he may be on a re-steal, and this explains why she pushed so many chips in pre, as she felt he had a wide range there...
Not such a bad play as it appeared from my inept reporting then!

Jen promised me at the break that she was going to take it easy with her new, smaller, 550k stack, but that was apparently a lie - Derek Thorne raised and she re-raised herself all in, stealing the pot off of him. I suppose it's possible that she had an actual hand (she also said "Tens or higher and I'm shoving"). Possible.

The Failure To Take It Easy continues -
Jen raises to 75k, Michael Trimby re-raises all in, and she passes.

As it is 15k 30k with a 3k ante, that means it's time for....
A BANANA update!
Looking a bit black round the edges, and suffering under the lights a bit, but holding in there and refusing to buckle just yet...
James Kelly just shoved for 220k and it was passed round before he showed
- "My favourite hand - waited all tournament for that one!"

With Jen, Derek, Michael and Bomber hogging all the big hands for a while, I thought I'd remind you that these gentlemen are also still in:
James Kelly
Ian Whitty
Jimmy Kiernan

An all-in and call between Derek Thorpe and Bomber Nolan (not sure who shoved, I'm afraid). Either way they were on their backs preflop:
Bomber -
Derek -
Board -
And Derek doubles up. "We're going to be here all night," mutters Neill Kelly. I hope not - the restaurant's stopped serving food, the bar's out of sandwiches, the hotel won't let us order pizza and we're all starving. Aside from anything else, we've all got to be on a flight home at 7am...

Haha, we've finished!
I am Unimpressed. We're going to be here forever.
The latest in the saga - Ian Whitty has doubled up. Bomber makes it 250k and Ian shoves. He turns over
- "You're ahead," says Bomber and turns over the, er,
that he has decided to call with.
No miracle outdraw on the
board, and both Whitty and we are here for the foreseeable.

Jen just shoved allin form the cutoff, and Nolan questioned her.
Unfortunately, this is Nolan's alcohol covered side table...
...so he has now become utterly incomprehensible after approximately 14 pints of guiness. Jen laughed and smiled at his banter, but she was probably as confused as everyone else by his series of unintelligable drunken grunts.
Eventually, Thomas reluctantly passed A2, which he showed to his mates behind him (and me teehee) and Michael also passed, enabling Jen to pick up the useful 66k in the pot...

Talking of ridiculous booze consumption, I must put in a special mention for Laxie who has made it her mission over most of last night and a good chunk of this afternoon to get me and Junglecat plastered on a combination of beers, bourbons and "Mini-Guinesses" (Tia Maria with a Baileys float, served in a shot glass - mmm, tastes like dessert
). She left before we got to buy her a few back today, so thanks Laxie! Here's a crap picture of one, on us!
