Its not the table, the dynamic, the amounts, the t.v ect, it's just Jamie Gold, he's an absolute doughnut, so easy to play against but the way the first hand went it was so sick it was unreal, you feel a bit sorry for old skool brunson sitting saying to himself:"wtf is going on, this asnt poker"!

the hand with the 5679 against gee(sp) when gee check raises him with jj looked good but really against gold there if he turns his head and looks at gold he has to atleast call,  gee checks turn and gold insta fires $25,000 and then sits there looking at gee like someones just put a gun to his head, just so easy to read, he seems to make no effort what so ever with his speach play and body labguage or doesnt realise the effect his behavior is having.

The last 4 W.S.O.P main event winners have been complete calling stations, the standard must be so bad when they get deep with people bluffing all over the shop its the absoloute calling stations that call their way to victory.

1. The first hand Farha plays him like a dream until the last card, Gold might as well play face up.

"I didn't do it to you, you did it to yourself" Lmao!

"Do you want to just check it down?" when he realises he's been played! Lmao!

Check check on the river was a great shame, but Gold managed to pull it off

2. Esfandiari plays like scared money? Or is that too harsh?

3. JJ hand, Gold cannot control his emotions, amazing such a successful player gives out so much information. Very nice check raise from the Jacks.

4. How pleading does Gold sound on the last hand when the money goes in? Ugh
Gold is currently looking for sponsorship. He'd be a hand grenade without a pin for a sponsor IMO.

Also the j8 vs j9 hand farha had vs greenstien is a prime example of why i think with a stack and deep farha can be so dangerous, particularly against players like greenstien, such an easy hand for greenstien to play against doyle or antonious.

with the loose money farha gold and gee are throwing around i think he wants to pick his spots carfully and just turn over hands against them which is probably the best stratagy the way the tables playing, doyle and antonoius seem to be doing the same, very tight.

agree 100%, he seems very very nervous when in any hand no matter what he's holding.

also, are Jamie and Sammy actually good friends outside of the game (?) because there is no way he shoulda let him go when he knew he was calling. I think Gabe got it wrong when he said Sammy was a bit nervous when the ten paired etc... Sammy knew Gold had kings or queens.

I'd love it if HSP got rid of AJ Benza and replaced him with Jessie May, the poker would come second to the commentary between him and Gabe.

I think this $500,000 buy-in may have killed the game a little, its not as good. I much preferred Hellmuth, Laak, Esfandiari, Matusow and the 7-2 game.

I think everybody and their granny knew Gold has Kings in that hand. Interesting that Gold didn't return the favour when Sammy just wanted that last hand to be checked down.

I don't think he actually thought Gold had a ten, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting pretty confused by the end of it - Gold just didn't shut up for about 10 minutes, was a really childish performance. What he was confused about I couldn't really say, but the whole weird situation must have made it pretty difficult to think clearly about what he was doing. And I imagine that in the back of his mind he didn't want to look stupid by sticking the rest of his money in and somehow finding he was behind. After the event I'm sure he realised that he 'knew' Gold had KK - but if he'd been sure of that at the time I just don't see why he wouldn't have stuck them in. Seems like he basically got bullied into doubting himself.

I don't know what to think of JG - sometimes, like in the interview on Poker Week, he comes across really well, but in HSP he acts with no class at all.
