I don't think he actually thought Gold had a ten, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting pretty confused by the end of it - Gold just didn't shut up for about 10 minutes, was a really childish performance. What he was confused about I couldn't really say, but the whole weird situation must have made it pretty difficult to think clearly about what he was doing. And I imagine that in the back of his mind he didn't want to look stupid by sticking the rest of his money in and somehow finding he was behind. After the event I'm sure he realised that he 'knew' Gold had KK - but if he'd been sure of that at the time I just don't see why he wouldn't have stuck them in. Seems like he basically got bullied into doubting himself.
I don't know what to think of JG - sometimes, like in the interview on Poker Week, he comes across really well, but in HSP he acts with no class at all.
Maybe it's just me but I thought the standard of play was extremely low in the last episode. Barry greenstein's A7 hand against Sammy was another prime example of that. Sammy also didn't play well..he played very weak..a bit of a calling station (whereas he is actually a much MUCH better player than he showed yesterday).
finally..I'm getting a bit fed up with HSP..5 hands in a 50 minutes long show...to much grandstanding and not enough poker, me thinks.

3. JJ hand, Gold cannot control his emotions, amazing such a successful player gives out so much information. Very nice check raise from the Jacks.
4. How pleading does Gold sound on the last hand when the money goes in? Ugh
Gold is currently looking for sponsorship. He'd be a hand grenade without a pin for a sponsor IMO.
Succesful? Has he actually won anything other than the wsop last year? It was so embarrassing watching him beg Sammy to check it down. I get the feeling Sammy took it easy on him and the other pro's take it easy on him because they know how much he won from winning the main event and they know that he's dead money at the table and that slowly but surely he will do every penny he won to the pro's in the cash games.
I actually thought Esfandiari has been playing like scared money since season 1, obviously an excellent player but obviously not as rich as a Brunson or Greenstein.

Jamie is irritating as hell. Have seen next to nothing from doyle, david and PA... last two episodes were pretty tedious to say the least... get Daniel in!

I miss Daniel..he was great to have on there. (though I can understand that he's not on this time as he always seemed to do his bollox in)

gold won $12million
he gave $6 million away
he paid about $2 million in taxes
he has a bankroll of less than $4 million
$500k is over 10% of his bankroll 200k is about 5% of his roll no wonder he was pleading with sammy to check it down
