Wow, this is a hugely popular festival normally. Last nights £100 rebuy had 60 something runners, capacity 180+ which it normally fills every other year

We have reached saturation point, and the GUKPT has killed the standard Grosvenor festivals stone dead it seems

I understand that the GUKPT is where the attention and marketing budget is, but I wonder where Grosvenor see the future for their traditional festivals?

With the individual clubs being under a lot of pressure from head Office to keep costs down I am seeing very little marketing of the Masters and the Cracker.

I think its a great shame but inevitable when players have so many events to choose from, some with added value and more hype.

I was thinking of going up for the £300 event tonight, not so sure now.

I don't think the other Grosvenor festivals will survive. The company do not seem to want them to. Still you can't blame them when they have the success that they currently have

i guess we shouldn't be surprised what with the vic's festival on from saturday...having said that i'll be making up the numbers in the 500 & the 750!

planning on playing the 750 sat     at 3pm wed.
will see how the numbers look  b4 committing to the 500   with 50    vig,which i still cant get my head around, maybe thats another reason why the gukpt is so popular with only %5 juice!!!

Blackpool's side events got stupidly good numbers so Walsall might come up a little short.

would it not be a good marketing tool by grosvenor to encorperate the traditional festival names into the GUKPT
