All slagging aside, it looks like Euro 2008 is over for all of us. Sad

In all the excitement, we forgot that the WORLD ELEPHANT POLO ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP 2007 began yesterday.

Quote

A total of 12 team, including three from Nepal, are competing in the championship. Chitwan National Park, Tiger Tops Tusker, British Army are representing Nepal.

Similarly, Chivas Regal from Scotland, Andrew Martin from England, Trinklias and Ivoris from Singapore, Indian Tigers Caledonian from India, Chopard from Hong Kong, Arian Wheeler from America and Elephant Polo from Australia are contesting in the event.

First person who's able to google some actual results wins a prize.

Aren't Scotland major world champions at something like this?  I'm sure it's this they've won for the last 10 years or something like that.

Congrats Tightend, here is your prize, a table of the results so far.
Assuming, 2pts for a win and 1 pt for a draw (says that somewhere in the rules)

Standings after 3 matches...

Indian Tigers (India) 6pts
Chivas Regal* (Scotland) 6pts
The Capitol Pachyerms (U.S.A) 4pts
Caledonian Cavaliers (Scotland?) 3pts
Andrew Martin (England) 3pts
Chopard (Hong Kong) 3pts
National Parks (Nepal) 3pts
Tickeles & Ivories (Singapore) 2pts
Airey & Wheeler (U.S.A?) 2pts
Australian Elephant Polo Team (G'day mate) 1pt
British Gurkha (Nepal) 1pt
Tiger Tops Tuskers (Nepal) 0pts

* Champs in 2004 & 2005, c/o Nemesis 2006

Favourites so far look like Indian Tigers....plus you can never discount Chivas Regal.

Shock victory for Tickeles & Wheeler today, getting their first points of the games by seeing off a strong side from the US, Capitol Paycherms, who have been the big scorers in earlier rounds.

Not sure what happens now...(the elephant polo site really is wank)
2006 saw three games before the knockout stages (SF&F), but there were only 8 teams, now there are 12.

Cool, Tightend in goals on a 747

The rules state...

There shall be no restrictions as to the height, weight or sex of the elephants.

So here's the plan. Get three ickle baby elephants and put the likes on Rodney, AndrewT and Snoopy on top of them. Run under everyone else's legs innit.
Maybe Tikay can be on the team too, he used to play for his county apparently.
