The final is playing out at a relatively slow pace...

Every so often the short stacked Mickey pushes (as he did a moment ago) and he is either called and doubles up....or everyone passes and he collects the blinds( as he did a moment ago)

Dave Colclough stood up from the table in frustration "Everyone's too good! We need someone to crack up!"

It's funny, there are similarities with the Bristol final of a few weeks ago, which had an ultra strong final table, which led to play being somewhat slow and tiring due to the lack of errors of the players...

Here is similar, although there is quite a lot of banter and micky taking happening, to keep everyone awake.

Just as a period of calm seemed to prevail, Mickey Wernick is ALLIN once again...

He had and went searching for a double up but ran into As.

The flop seemed like it had killed him, once his opponent hit a set on a board but the turn gave him hope and outs in the form of a flush draw....

..BUT the river bricked out, meaning...

Mickey Wernick is OUT, eliminated in 9th spot, winning £1,610

Well played Mickey...another final table appearance for the Legend of poker

Could u tell me if there any cash games going on?

There is a table with people playing poker at it in the card room, but it might be the final of the £250... Have to say it's very, very quiet down here, given that it's a Friday night...

Thanks. And i was one of the guests who registered to save the kittens lol

I knew it! The kittens thank you...

Here is Mickey making his exit...

...And no sooner had that uploaded than another one bites the dust. I think Paul Jackson raised first, but either way he and Joe Koumi ended up on their backs, A-Q for Koumi and Aces for Jackson.

Board -

And Chicken Joe had egg on his face -

Joe Koumi is OUT in 8th place winning £1,940.

After a short hiatus whilst the players enjoy a small buffet, with some rather tasty chicken kebabs, and several large wedges of chocolate cake (which Dana is eyeing ravenously), we are back at the table with the blinds at 4k 8k...

Dave Colclough raises ALLIN, and all pass to his raise, enabling him to pick up the juicy 12k in the pot.

Next hand it's passed round to Actionjack in the small blind who completes...no raise from Rob Reece.

FLOP:

Paul bets 8k and Rob quickly passes...

Now a raise to 22k from Martyn Cavanagh is sufficient to take down the blinds...

And after Junglecat watching it for ages with basically nothing happening, I stroll across the room, mainly to steal some of the finger food buffet, and I see no fewer than two exits!

Steve Jelinek shoves from the button, and Dave Colclough makes a surprise call from the big blind. He sounds surprised, too.

Steve Jelinek -

Dave Colclough -

Board - (flush!!! someone is saying) two spades

And Steve Jelinek is OUT in 7th place, winning £2,260.

...And just as I was importing the photos from that last exit, I hear all in from the table. I hurriedly stop the import, which my laptop is very unhappy about, and rush over with the camera.

Rana Gurnam has shoved. It folds around to Marc Goodwin, who says, "I have Aces. I call!" Fair enough, sir. Fair enough. "Then I need a Nine," says Rana.

Marc Goodwin -

Harpit "Rana" Gurnam -

Board - Two Diamonds

And Harpit "Rana" Gurnam is OUT in 6th place, winning £3,030.

Paul Jackson raises to 22k on the button and Marc Goodwin looks serious for a moment before reraising another 40k...

...Paul passes and Marc shows an Ace. "what's your kicker?" asks Paul. "Six" giggles Marc.

A few hands later, Marc raises to 22k on Dave Colclough's big blind. Dave passes fairly quickly and Marc says "No reraise Mr Colclough?" before showing down a marvellous pair of black

  for the nuts AGAIN!

With the rash of quick knockouts the stacks have amalgamated and I think it will take a couple of big hands to knock heads before we see the next elimination.

The current average is 206k and there are 20 minutes remaining of the 4k 8k level before the blinds rise to 5k 10k...

Paul Jackson made a comment a few moments ago.

"I'm going to leave off the flair moves, they always go wrong when I do them. I'll just stick to plodding along" he said ploddily before raising to 22k from the cut off to take the blinds down...

Oh, how delightful when the other updater's wrong. Smiley Worryingly, though, I think Junglecat's on track to win our little aside on when this is going to finish...

Rob Reece shoves and Golden Marc Goodwin calls.

Rob Reece - pocket Threes

Marc Goodwin - pocket Nines

Board -

So Rob Reece is OUT in 5th place, winning £4,000.

There is some Business being done at the table currently, so it may move even faster. I thought it was going to go 'til 1.30am...
