It makes you a top bloke. Who wants to have their personal space invaded by blathering drunks who can't hold their drink, don't react to social hints (like "GO AWAY YOU PISSHEAD")?, & with whom it's impossible to hold a meaningful convo?

I know, I know, it's me out of step with the rest of the world, but that's how it always was, is, & will be.

I hasten to add that most folks at the GUKPT do were tolerably sober & coherent. Whereas I was my usual, grumpy self.

I had enough of getting pissed when I was younger. It bores me now and feels like a waste of time. Like you, I can't stand being sober around drunks, it's like you're talking to a different person and I don't like that.

For those of you who don't know, I'm allergic to alcohol, which naturally means I'm as sober as a judge in chambers 24/7, and to top it off, I can't stand drunks. Whether it be in a club, or at the felt, I can't stand 'em. If I get one at the poker table, then on go the sunglasses, up goes the iPod, and in my own merry world I am.

I'm not the biggest fan of these do's with a free bar, but the GUKPT one did provide some entertainment for us who had no interest in getting completely slaughtered (and no, I'm not talking about James Dempsey, that was just an added bonus!) in the form of a Nintendo Wii.

And Snoops...if you're worried because you don't like the parties at your age...imagine how I feel being 22!!

Actually Boldie....  At least 4 of the players (including myself) will not be playing APAT Scotland..!!  Due to the fact that we are going to Vegas 5th April for 8 days..
