At the risk of replies of your just a get over it. I was looking at the Blonde league table and noticed that my results have been fairly consistent around the 23rd mark apart from the first event which must have been a fluke when I was 2nd. The next results were: 23 18 23 23 17 22 I am interested for any views as to whether there is any relevance to this type of pattern, eg does this mean I am predictable, loose, tight etc. Now that I can't make it up the board hopefully some of you can give me feedback that might help. Cheers.

too tight waiting for cards to hit you rather than playing would be my opinion if you are constantly busting out around the middle of the comp
playing tight is great if you get cards but on those days you dont get them you have to try and make them happen

Think you are right. Must admit that I was at times thinking don't do anything stupid and keep going up for the points for the league, rather than play my normal game.

It looks like you hardly ever get by the mid stages. I used to be like this untill I learned to control my betting when I had a reasonable stack during the midway stage. It's been working and I dont go as crazy when I'm stacked.
Could you be playing too tight to build a stack early on and get blinded out and end up playing lesser/losing hands? Or could you be playing a looser game and vitually never hit your cards or you get forced to fold? It would help to know your playing style and betting sytle?

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

your just a get over it. Seriously, your play doesn't appear too tight from what I've seen. (Although I am not a tourney player & have only played a few tables with you). You do like to limp up front a bit, and end up playing a few hands out of position. The number of tournies you are talking about is a small sample size so I shouldn't read too much into it.

Thanks for responses so far. Yes I do like to limp in a lot and position play needs to improve.
Keep it coming.

They're not televised, and don't have 7-minute blind levels.

An honest answer is that you are too easy to play against Ed, you limp so many times and fold to a flop bet when you miss and flat call when you have a semblance of a hand ... meaning that in pots with you, a small feeler bet on the flop will more often than not take the pot, even when your oppo is holding garbage, he can pick up chips from you with ease. then you get to the stage where you find AK or AQ and have to shove with a relatively small stack in comparison to those on the table ... this means calls for value are more frequent and thats whats been the case in the league. hope you find that constructive and not too insulting ... cos thats me being nice ... Now if you want an insulting reply, give me a shout
