"Dinner will be served at the end of this level," claims the announcer on the overhead tannoy.

"No, it won't" he back tracks.

"Oh, hold on, well, it either will or it won't"

Clear as mud!  >:?

News of the exits of Craig Owen & Jonathan Butters.  Not in the same hand but no other details.

It does make me laugh that in recent big events at the Vic, players are not entrusted with a dinner break and have to eat their dinners at the table like naughty little boys & girls.  Jim Moult here proving he can multi task grandly, and is ripping his table apart by apparantly "having lots of monsters, if I had these hands later on the tourny instead of the start I would have tons more chips!"  Enjoy your salmon & chips Jim.

Chip counts aren't always as easy as you might think, as displayed by this exceedingly dirty stack.

Can any bright buttons out there work out how many chips are there?

Purple = 5k
Yellow = 1k
Green = 500
Grey = 100
Orange = 25

Must be very tricky to count, what with the 1k chips having 5000 written on them. Great work snoops

Maria Maceiras, the sometime spanish-updater, is OUT with Eights against Paul Leckey's Fives on a 9-7-3-9-5 board.

The dinner break is 30 minutes long at the end of this level. But the players have all already been served food, (which didn't seem too popular, the food that is, not the being served at the table). So we're all off to rush to McDonalds for some healthy food.

Of course that was an intentional error. To be honest, I didn't think anyone would fall for it, but Jeff didn't let us down.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
