wednesday 21st november

Leave home for the trip down to Gatwick. Mum has made sure i am wearing clean pants and have a clean handkerchief. She has also made me some jam sandwiches for the journey...bless.
Trains are all on time and i get to Gatwick with time to spare.I check in and find that Booder has already checked in and reserved me a seat next to him.I make my way to the departure gate and have just started reading Derren Brown's book when Booder arrives .
8.10pm and we are boarded and ready for take off.

Thursday  22nd november

I very quickly partake of my favourite pastime....sleep

Arrive in Macau at the hotel

Booder checks in...everything o.k
I check in ....they have no record of my reservation.  OH Good !

We retire to Booders room, where i unpack my lappy to check my emails from Pokerstars, just to confirm that i have given them my correct name. hmmm  appears one email from Stars addresses me as Scott.  I am starting to tilt.

Contact is made with the Stars rep, Carlene, who advises that we enjoy the welcoming party whilst she sorts my room out. We make our way to the Monkey Bar where i do what any respectable Sheffield lad does...i order a Tequila Sunrise.  Class..you either have it or you don't.

Continue to drink at the welcoming party for the next three hours (probably not the ideal preparation for tomorrows tourny) and enjoy oogling the scantily dressed dancers. (photos taken for the benefit of Ironside).
Booder departs around midnight for some sleep whilst i throw some shapes on the dancefloor, which prompts Isabelle Mercier to call me a dance donk. LOOOL

2.30am and i am slightly tipsy, and i am informed that a room has been found for me   hooray.
2.45am..wake Booder up and collect my suitcase from his room.
2.50am..ring Booder to tell him my room number.
2.55am...ring Booder to ask if i have left my laptop in his room.
3.05am...ring Booder to wish him goodnight  LOOL

Absolute quality, shame the dancers used to be male though...

Friday 23rd november

Tournament day.Booder and i amble across to the casino where we meet up with Pab.Unfortunately he is having problems buying in but manages to get sorted. I get allocated table 5 seat 10, Booder gets table 5 seat 8..haha  no chance of him nicking my blinds. Pab gets in as an alternate.
Lose a lot of chips to the aggressive guy to my right when i turn two pair and he shoves forcing me to lay down to his bluff.Booder doubles his stack due to flopping two sets early and getting paid.Bust out after about two and a half hours, followed three hours later by Pab and then Booder after seven hours play.Massive disappointment for the three of us but hey shit happens.

Pab retires to his hotel where he is toilet bound for the next couple of days whilst Booder and myself make use of the hotels spa and enjoy a 90 minute Swedish Massage followed by a few beverages.

saturday 24th november

Get talking to an American guy in the hotel bar who recommends an afternoon at the racetrack just up the road.Manage to break even...i run good , whilst Booder loses every race...neverends. Stop off at the local Maccy d's on the way back to the hotel ...Haute Cuisine for us Sheffield boys.
Have the obligatory afternoon nap and then out in Taipa for an evening meal in Dumbo's Portugese restaurant which is a bit of a disappointment

sunday 25th november

Shopping and sightseeing today......man i am soo unfit.Booder took us on a route march that included a big hill. I HATE HILLS ! Bought myself a nice watch although 5 days later i still cannot work out how to undo the strap.Played the $100 deepstack on Blue Square and won for $4k....shipp. Visited the hotels topless bar for a few beverages, had another kip and then went deep in the stars warmup, my top set cruelly flushed by an underpair.

More snaps from sunday.

monday 26th november

Played $100  stt in casino...bust out early after Booder shoved my utg raise with 95.  Priced in to call with my 78 .Booder hits full house (he knew he was ahead preflop  lol) and goes on to take 2nd.
Play the $500  mtt...get to final table but bust out short of money after putting some bad beats on my opponents then getting crippled when i reraised utg raiser with tens, only for him to push witrh A3 and spiked an ace.Had a sleep, played online for a while and then broke a tooth biting into a snickers bar.Sent some messages of affection on MSN (you were constantly in my thoughts   ) more sleep

tuesday 27th november

last full day in Macau.Rose late and Booder and myself went for a Sauna,Jacuzzi and a Thai massage.Had a sleep. Then out for a couple of drinks in Sands Casino , Star City Casino and then on to the Venetian for a meal in Mortons Restaurant......Awesome meal , Awesome Casino
