I thought i had him time and time again but he just kept coming back at me. One hand in particular was:

on the button i went to raise 3x the big blind but i threw in the wrong denomination chips and was made to min raise only, the other guy thought i didn't mean to raise at all so he through out about 100k over the top of my 32k initial min raise. I moved in for about another 100k on top he felt obliged to call my all in with  , no match for my  .

Three hands later we got it all in again my    and me as a 5/1 chip leader, but i doubled him up with his    .

The whole heads up contest was very draining for me as i have hardly played this year so i was well pleased to eventually take it down.

Cheers Fran, i thought your play had improved a lot also since the last time we played also. Sam is a really nice lad and one hell of a poker player, i think he will have a very prophitable and enjoyable 2008 if he continues to play the same as he did at the weekend.

Regards,

Steve Read.
