when I had mine, had to ask for further doses of anesthetic as I could feel everything that was going on

i had the snip years ago, i was advised not to do anything for a day or so, just rest and definetely no work or lifting, i never had a problem , never regretted it and the op was a doddle, could feel what they where doing but a bit like dentist, feel it but no pain, trouble is a few people i worked with had the snip and started lifting stuff or getting up ladders within 2 days of having the op because they felt ok. then next day there swollen and walking like john wayne for months,so my advice to anyone thinking about the having snip is, dont fret over the op,its a doddle,i never felt a thing, arrange to be looked after for 2 days , you will feel ok , but dont even make a cuppa just take it easy and you should have no complications if you dont you could spend months in pain ,also expect your willy to start popping up for no reason for months,its great ,lol,

Best thing i ever done and it was painless enough, Couple of asprin and i was fine after it, although when he sutured the snipped tubes it did smell like burgers.

A word to the wise also, Do not bathe for too long and try to remove your own stitches, i did that and the wounds opened up again and i could see a ball ready to pop out!

that scared me ....
