What do people think of having a thread lurking around (eg this one) that is sort of a match making thread where members post what currency they want to get rid of or need.
There are no doubt lots of us with €s and $s that get changed back and forth and cost us a fortune with comisson and poor exchange rates.
So to save ourselves some money we post what we have on offer and chances are we will meet up with a needy exchangee at an event in the near future.
I have €1780 to get rid of.

good idea, sadly i had to accept getting shafted by the bank recently on some euros, what a scam the whole currency exchange system is.

Obviously, anyone getting involved in a transaction will be doing so at their own risk. Just because someone's a member on blonde, doesn't make them trustworthy...
It might be the case that there's someone on the forum that both parties trust, and they can act as an escrow - taking the funds from both parties and releasing them when both sets of funds are received (or something).

Yes of course. I would expect most transactions to be face to face tho, which would reduce the risk (maybe). |

http://www.oanda.com/Good idea, currency exchanges literally rip your arms and legs off with their rates. If people are going to do this, use the above link to find it the market mid price for the conversion rate.

Me, duke, shogun technolog and a few others are heading to vegas in April so will take a load of $ if you have any nice cashes while your out there. |
