Is this your man, ITB? If so, then say hello to Shieldsy, who my spider senses (or, more accurately, the player list) inform me is more accurately known as Allan Shields. He's currently on 9,700, so less movement there than a nun's knickers.

The player list isn't necessarily the most reliable due to the alternates striding in at the last minute, but we believe this young whipper snapper to be the unusually named Dervis Ozkarapinar (no relation to blonde's Karabiner). I was going to remove the red-eye from the photo, but then changed my mind to prove how menacing he really looks. "He looks like he's about to explode," observes one Danafish. But, explode he hasn't, instead spending his time finding the American Airlines. "I've had a bag of spanners," complains Harpit Garnham, "but this guy keeps getting Aces." One hand I just witnessed saw Dervis bet a paltry 1.5k into a 5k plus (there was definitely one 5k white chip in there) pot. Jim McShane couldn't resist the call on an three diamonds board, but quickly mucked when his opponent confidently revealed the Rockets.

Taking time off from his flourishing model career, the chiseled features and long locks of Ryan Fronda have joined us here in sunny Luton. Ryan's not one for fireworks, but has excellent patience that often proves lucrative. His last fold was a good one though, table neighbour, Martin Lawton betting out 1k on a two spades Flop before showing . I think he was ahead...

Judging by some of the athletes that partook in that event, it's probably more accurately "the thin guy who run rings round them at football at bb4"

Mother of pearl, I was just sitting at my laptop, quietly typing away my thoughts for the day, when out bashed this awful racket from two or three walls away. I see what you mean about the live music, I can imagine it might be off-putting if sat at the table. Live music and poker have never mixed from my experience, they bashed out some dance music once at the Gala Notts, which didn't go down well, although the average age on that night was about 60, and not even tikay was there!

Snnops can you wish Daniel Rudd good luck.

I got a text from Rob Garfield telling me Monkey was 1st out. It was only later i realised that daniel was the man that done it. Unlucky Mark.....

Justice for a week of dreadful calls and play IMO.

And wish Rob good luck too. Hope he gets 2nd.

Rookie is currently on 12k. As reported earlier, he was up to 14k early doors. This came about from two hands. Firstly, he managed to hit trips with A-4 versus Q-Q on an A-A-x Flop, before making up the small blind with Two Diamonds and being treated to a Flop. By the time they reached the two spades Turn, Rookie was re-raising an 800 bet to 2,100 to take the pot down uncontested. Apparently, his opponent showed Jacks, which had limped pre-flop. "He was thinking of raising pre-flop," commented Rookie, "so I was worried that he might have Sevens or Eights. Thought I'd stick in 2.1k to find out."

With just 5 tables here today, big hands don't come in as thick and fast as they would do with 10, but when One Hand Rumit's in the game, you can always guarantee at least one funny tale, as Dana will explain.

Rumit is OUT. Here is the story as related to me from the next table where  he is now munching on some kind of tuna fish salad.

Finding himself with Aces, as you do, he has delighted when Tracey Troy raised to 300. A bunch of people called around and so he made it 900. As you do. With your Aces. Tracey folds but there are other callers.

The flop comes Q-2-2 and it checks around to Jeff Rogers who bets 1k. Rumit makes it 3k and Jeff promptly goes all in. After some umm-ing and ahh-ing, Rumit calls. Jeff triumphantly turns over 7-2. "Oh well," sighs Rumit, "it makes a change from Kings beating my Aces." Must have used up all his luck for the day in not dying on the M1.

I'm no expert on style and repertoire, but they're certainly number 11 on the Spinal Tap amplifier.
