Glory be, we've made it to our lovely warm room at the Days Inn and the bed is so big that Dana suggested, "Darn, we should have picked up some of those drunk girls in the toilets." Naughty Dana!

Anyhow, back to the real world and the small case of the Luton Christmas Cracker. With blondeite Danny 'UpThe Mariners' Rudd easing his way into the final day, he should be in with a good shot of taking this one down, and there will plenty of keen peepers watching his progress, especially those of Mr Rookie who has a 10% stake in him. He seems like a nice lad - for a Grimsby fan - so best of luck to him.

Here are those vital chippy counts...

Arco Zuyderduyn -- 82,375
Danny D'Borin -- 62,050
Derek Lawless -- 60,250
Ali Mallu -- 57,825
Daniel Rudd -- 44,750
Graham Hiew -- 31,375
Dervis Ozkarapinar -- 29,775
Ryan Fronda -- 26,950
Dave Courtney -- 26,425
Mike Moore -- 23,750
Andreas Georgiou -- 21,450
D Shearer -- 20,000

and that all important prize structure...

1st = £12,870
2nd = £7,350
3rd = £5,510
4th = £4,410
5th = £3,310
6th = £2,200
7th = £1,100

Morning, peeps. After rolling up at the Hotel at 5am last night, we bizarrely deemed the 11am check-out a bit of stretch and pushed it out to 2pm for a vital extra 3 hours in bed. As a result, we are fresh, alert and raring to go... well, sort of.

Anyhow, we've arrived at the casino, but even with just 15 minutes to go, I don't see too many faces around just yet - it's certainly a lot quieter than yesterday.

By the way, who won the boxing? Were we right to exit prior to its conclusion?

The players are now being called over to the cardroom in preparation for the reconvention of this weekend's £750 Main Event.

Hi everyone! I've had a shower and a cup of coffee, and I'm all ready to go. Smiley

Spotted so far in the casino: er, the lady at the bar, and, um, no-one really. Oh no, hang on, I saw Mike Moore wandering out to the car park, but I suspect he'll be back shortly as they're about to kick off. Snoops has headed down to the cardroom with the camera and we will have evidence soon that we're not just sitting in the cloakroom waiting for the kitchen to open.

In the meantime, please enjoy this elevator music:

Yes indeedy, they're off, and as the clock strikes, in strides Mr Mike Moore, just in the nick of time.

Chip leader Acro Zuyderduyn was here in good time. The mad Dutchman was firing on all cylinders yesterday and even threatened to overtake Mallu in the loosey goosey stakes. If you want proof, then just check out the exits of Mark Segal, Rob Garfield and co, all of whom left screaming words of, "How could he call?" and whatnot. I tell you what, he might be making some loose calls, but no one's going to dare nick that big blind of his.

This is the bemused expression of Andreas Georgiou, struggling at the moment with just over 20k. I don't know much about this chap, and haven't seen him venture up north, so can only assume he's more accustomed to these parts - a Luton regular perhaps?

Of course, Daniel Rudd is present as cool cucumbery as ever and sandwiched between Lawless and Georgiou. UpTheMariners will be looking to stick it UpTheOpposition.

One player has yet to arrive, and that is Walsall's own D Shearer (if anyone knows his forename, do tell). Out of anyone, he's the guy that needs to have bum firmly on seat as with only 20,000, he is the current shortstack. The structure for this comp has been admirable throughout, though, so he needn't panic just yet if he's somehow stuck on the M1 and tootling along like a sloth through treacle.

They're not messing about, early though it is.

Arco limps utg and small blind Ali Mallu makes it another 7k. Arco now makes it 25k. A disgruntled Ali passes, but at least Arco shows him so he knows he was doing the right thing...

Now Dervis Ozkarapinar raises to around 3.5k from the button, only for BB Daniel Rudd to stick another 7k on it. To which Dervis makes it another 10k. Daniel asks for a count, and mulls. At one point I think he is in danger of putting a chip near his mouth, which would be hazardous to his health, but the chip stops just short and he puts it down. Wise move. He also lays down face-up, muttering, "You've got a pair of Nines or something." Dervis tells him, "Very good fold," but Daniel seems unconvinced and unconsoled.
