Thankfully mine wasn't for anyone in particular, our daughter is too young to appreciate things like this, opening anything that's wrapped up is exciting for her.  I just thought it would be great fun to get one, but I can wait till the new year.  I don't envy parents that have children looking forward to gifts like this

People create their own stress at this time of year. If you can't afford something you don't buy it..if you can't buy some £250 christmas pressie you definetly shouldn't get stressed out as you don't actually need it...simple really

Sophie and I walked into Game in Milton Keynes this weekend to buy a Nintendo DS game and saw someone being sold one.  "Have you got Wii's in stock then?" I asked.  "Yes" was the shock reply (delivery that morning).

So, despite out of stock messages on the window, I managed to walk away with a new Wii from a high street store, having never anticipated buying one until then.  I have to admit, I'm impressed with it - we've been in hysterics playing the Sonic and Mario at the Olympics game.

Next problem is the shortage of remote controllers - had to go to Ebay for one of them as there are none around anywhere!

Might be worth checking into your local 'Game' store.  It's possible you might get lucky like we did.
