Shortly after that hand Iliodoros Kamatakis goes all in under the gun for 145,000 with  and gets called by the  of Dagomir Pavlovic.  No miracles and "the sun" goes OUT in 18th place.

They are hand for hand to get to the last 16 and 2 tables.

Jose Luis   Navarro has doubled up to around 200k thanks to Mikael   Norinder who just moved to the table.  I only saw that Navarro had Q3 on 3 7 3 5 7 board.

Paul Gormley is OUT. He held against Dagomir Pavlovic's

As the board came , Dagomir shouted, "Yes! Yes!" then "No Ten! No Ten!" more shouts came from him once the turn and river were and . 17 left and we're hand for hand and then a redraw for the final two tables.

Arnaud Mattern has doubled up with Sixes against the A-2 of Juha Lauttamus, an ace came on the flop but by the river Arnaud had four-flushed his to win the pot.

And we are down to 16 players.

Jose Navarro raises to 24k, Kristian Kjondal makes it 70k and Navarro moves in for about 170k more. Kjondal went into the tank, before making the call.

Navarro:

Kjondal:

As the cards are turned over, Navarro's fans start shouting and cheering, "Vamos!!!"

Flop:

And Kjondal has 5 outs now...

Turn:

Two Clubs

Now it's just 4...

River:

A collective cry from the Spaniards, they really felt that one, Navarro takes it better than them though, shrugging his shoulders and shaking hands with his Norwegian conqueror.  Kjondal then mock-wipes a little sweat off his brow and says, with the air of a man who knows he got lucky, "Four outs was enough..."

Not long after this count, Gino Alacqua doubled through Adrian Koy with Kings on a J high board to go to about 300k and cripling Koy.  Again a few hands later and Koy was eliminated in 16th place A9 v Markus Golser AQ.

Cyril Bensoussan is out in 15th place.

He pushed over the top of Mikael Norinder's raise and was called.

Cyril:

Mikael:

Board:

Two Diamonds

And we've lost another...

Mike McDonald sitting low on around 80k, shoved with  .  Mikael Norinder called in the cut off with  .  The board was a rollercoaster ride:

To send McDonald unlukily back to Canada OUT in 14th place but at least with a 20,000 euro pay day to take home.

Thierry Labat is OUT in 13th place, he was all-in preflop with against Kristian Kjondal's , the latter hitting a set but Thierry turned a Royal Flush draw but missed his multitude of outs and we lose another Frenchman.

Christer Johansson has doubled through Markus Golser (I can't stop myself calling him Markus Goslar for some reason) with Jacks against Sevens.

Markus Golser limps from the Small Blind and Gino Alacqua in the big blind made it 29k more to go.  Golser dwelled up before deciding all in was the right move and Gino called in a flash:

Golser
Alacqua

Another Q on the flop sealed the deal and Alacqua double to over 500,000.

Nikolas Liakos is OUT in 12th place winning €27,800. He pushed from the button with Two Diamonds but ran into Mikael Norinder's pocket fives and failed to find that elusive bullet.

Arnaud Mattern raised UTG, Sebastian Zink reraised all in (they had similar chip stacks) and Arnaud made the call:

Mattern
Zink

The board is 2 5 4 3 J which means Zink was eliminated in 11th place winning 27,800 euros.  Mattern stack is looking a lot prettier at 525,000.

Yes, I didn't see or hear the hand, but the sight of Nicolas Levi dancing around like a madman gave it away.

LOL Do I wish I was there to see this...!

That's my crazy frenchman!

PS thanks for all the fab updates guys - you're doin a great job! I have achieved NO work today! Smiley

Is it safe to assume you're Nic's better half? Wink

Dag Pavlovic is on a mean run of cards at the moment, re-raising Arnaud Mattern's preflop raise and then showing Kings, he then wins three more pots in quick sucession showing Queens again, then Ace Queen, then he limps preflop against Arnaud and Johannes Strassman in the blinds, bets the flop (taking the pot down) and shows .

He's just come unstuck though, he limps from UTG. Arnaud limps the button, the small blind passes and big blind Nedzib Suman checks.

Flop:

three diamonds

Nedzip and Dagomir check, Arnaud bets 18k, Nedzip passes and Dagomir calls.

Turn:

Check check.

River:

Dagomir now bets 120k into the 80k pot. Arnaud thinks for a minute before calling. Dagomir mucks and Arnaud shows to take the 400k pot.

Mikael Norinder raised it 125k from the small blind, Christer Johansson went all in from the big blind for 235,000.  Nurrinder made the crucial final table bubble call and has Christer well covered:

Norinder
Johansson

The board came out:

Christer Johansson finishes in 10th place and takes home €39,200  So its all over for the day we have our last 9 players.  I shall hang around for the draw and the official counts to post as soon as...........
