Hi Matt,

I know the invites say lounge suit, but as long as a shirt with a collar is worn, together with proper trousers (i.e. no jeans) and proper shoes (i.e. no trainers), then there won't be any problem. A suit is not actually a requirement...honest !

Hopefully, I'll see you there....as I'm thinking of popping in myself at some point    Wink

Have fun,

Ian.

No invite for me, pah!

James is rightly miffed about not getting an Invite, & he rung me tonight to voice his disappointment.

I investigated the reasons, & it appears that as he's dropped out of the Pro-Rank Two Top Ten, he's not eligible. Those in the Top Nine ARE eligible.........

Sorry James, you really must try harder.........

I think my invite must be lost in the Christmas post somewhere.  I'll make other plans now.

Your welcome if you can squeeze into the boot!

I have been playing on, and promoting Ladbrokes poker for years.

I have never had an invite.

Ask Matt?

I don't want to go, I just think I should have had an invite.

It's My femine side coming out.

 Cheesy
Must admit I have no idea what criteria they have for inviting poker players. The usual format is a table for the family of each finalist, then assorted celebs that are in to poker and some well known poker players as well as a few tables that have been allocated to competition winners. In all seriousness next time around it might be worth asking in advance to find out how you can get invited. Not the same as being asked I know, but only way of getting asked is to ask why you are not getting asked.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

I'm coming along tomorrow, sounds like it's gonna be fun! Does anyone know what the dress code is? Is it strict?

Gents in dinner suits, ladies in dresses made out of playing cards.

Which is handy for you Liv.
