On Wednesday, his weight was 13.5k, on Thursday it was 12.5k, & this morning, on admittance to Hossie, it was 11.5k. That's the problem - how to stop that trend. I'm not sure how old he is - 3, going on 4? - but that seems very light to me.

Reece is about four and a half years old now Tony, and his weight of 11.5k (when converted into terms that you and I understand) comes out at a little under 1st 12lb

Thanks Tom.

So, in language I understand, he is less than 2 stone? Goodness me, let's hope the answer is found quickly. I have no idea of what a child should weigh at 4.5 years old, but that seems very light.

We are still at hossy, Reece is still on the drip and nil by mouth. He has picked up immensly, it is quite unbeliveable the difference in him since thismorning he is actually asking for food. Unnless you saw him for yourself you really could not belive how thin he looked in such a short time to ho he llooks now. Darren is sleeping tonight and I am off home once they are settled.    Many Many thanks to you all for the support, very emotional 24 hours and very stressful time all round but the support I get off alll your vibe is gratefully appretiated. Excuse spelling as on mobile and can't be arsed to reread it or spell check.    Xxxxx

Great news - what can be done to help avoid this again in the future if anything? Is it something in the drip that gives him something he needs but won't/can't take on by himself?

Fingers crossed he keeps felling better x
