Well looks like they are not going to do much at all until Antonino gets back first week of OCTOBER!!!!!. Just maybe a few test. They also want him to continue at school as he needs a normal life. The lads shattered now at school and that is with TPN, hell knows what he will be like next week on Full Time hours.  Back to the normal feelings, that was short lived. He is sleeping here tonight so /I shall try and give him as much nosh as I can b4 school tomorrow.

This morning I emailed the doctor in Boston that haslimited knowledge of Reece but has emailed me before, to see if it would be worth trying to get him over there, he emailed back saying he would gladly take a look at his case if we can send over all his history and dvds of op's to see if it would be worth the journey.  FFS that would take a cargo ship of its own. When we go to out patients, the notes are wheeled in on trollys just for his only. Plus how the heck do
I go about getting them? This doctor has a massive success rate over there on cases similar to Reece.

Maureen, as we talked about at the weekend, can you not get Reece on half day's at school?

Should be quite routine to clear this with the school.

You are entitled to see medical records, just ask and they should show you them.  Lots of places have computer files so hopefully there's this for Reece's history too.

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/HealthAndWellBeing/HealthServices/ManagingYourHealthcare/DG_10036450 May be of some help, but hopefully if you talk to the hospital, it won't be as daunting as it seems at the moment.

Best wishes.

Thanks Graham,

I remember way back we tried to get them and they made a big song n dance how long and laborious it would be and that was when there were only about 5 files. x

Anyway, just had this email from a guy called Dan who Dr Kim has spoken to.

Hi Maureen,

My name is Dan, and I work with Dr. Kim and the team in the Center for Advanced Intestinal Rehabilitation.

I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that I contacted the Children's Hospital International Office this morning and started the necessary process to get your grandson to Boston for care.

You will be getting an email soon from a member of the International Office, and they will start requesting medical records relevant to Reese and his condition.

In the meantime, please let me know if there is anything I can help you with, and I look forward to helping make this process run smoothly for you and your family.

Thanks!
-Dan

I'd definitely do something to help raise money for this.

Interesting aswell how helpful and nice the American doctor appeared to be in the email and how over here they see helping with his paperwork as a hassle.
