,i lost my brother a year ago to the big "C" and without doubt it was the hardest thing i have ever faced, especially as for some reason he chose me as his confidante, ringing sometimes upto 30 times a day just to repeat what he had already told me and i just answered the same as i did b4,and although towards the end he didnt have any concept of time he would ring at 3,4,5 in the morning and when he was gone that was very hard to take (no phone calls)

But time does heal although it doesnt remove the pain it just makes it easier to live with, and it makes u realise that when yr going through the hardest times there is always somene else out there that is going through a harder time, but never never never live in regret about what you could have done it's a bit like poker really its allways easier to play your hand post flop when u can see what cards have been dealt.

So keep yr chin up m8 and rememmber the good times with a smile and by the sound of it u had some....

Ditto, here as well. I read these thoughtful and emotionally moving posts and my heart just wells up wanting to hug the poster, and tears spring into my eyes.   Usually I end up just reading them feeling that my one liner "thinking of you" really doesn't do the OP justice BUT as you mentioned in your post sometimes we wish we had SAID/DONE something....

Thinking of you x

Under the same circumstances I don't think I could have written a post like that, JC.  A very difficult, but ultimately inspiring, read.

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
