Sin of all sins, I failed to finish a bottle of wine some time ago but popped it in the fridge with the lid on.

How long can you leave these things before they go off, and what does it do to you when it goes off.

Thinking back, it's probably a couple of weeks ago, but it was a nice sauvignon blanc, so I decided to have a glass, but I feel a bit ill, and not in a drunk way.  Is it likely to be the vino?

Oh sorry, I don't drink white.

Just pour it away and shell out the £6.99 on a fresh bottle  Grin

I have a few in the fridge already, but I've gone off the thought of it now.  Should have done that to start with.

No idea what you do with an unfinished bottle of wine.

Don't do it again.

You're probably going to have to call 999 Smiley lol.  It could be the wine as you let the air get to it then kept in for weeks. lol...  Now if it wass brandy you could get away with it but there is less alcohol in wine. If it was me in this situ, I'd just eat loads and hope to soak it up and calm the nausea down. Good luck Smiley Next time share a whole bottle and you will manage to get it finished Smiley

If its a screwtop bottle, will be ok for couple weeks or so. If a cork should be drunk within 2 days.

Any "leftover" wine can always be used in cooking.

Wine takes a bit longer than a couple of weeks to go off but then I drink plonk that probably tastes the same either way LOL.

I think, but im not sure as I only drink wine when dining out, that if its 'off' it smells and tastes vinegary
