It's that time of the year again.Whether you agree or disagree with them they are part of our history/tradition and personally I don't see anything wrong in recognising, rewarding people who have made a contribution in the "field of their choice".
So having said that I have decided to present the:
TAXIMAN AWARD
I decided to give this to the person I feel has had the biggest impact on blonde poker forum throughout the year.
If I were to award it for Poker Achievements then 3 names automatically spring to my mind: Skalie, for his performance in the main event of the wsop, Julian 'Yoyo' Thew who has had some fantastic results this year, and Ian "crapper" Cox who seemed to appear on every final table I read about
If i were to award it for entertaining posts, then there are many who would be deserving of this, none other then RED, who keeps us all amused with his fantastic tales.
But blonde is MORE than just a poker forum, as we all know, and it's a word often used, it's a
COMMUNITY (and rightly so), where we all come and chat/discuss about things all and sundry.
From my own point of view, it's been a great place for me these past 15 months, as not only has it kept me updated with the poker scene back home, but I have been entertained by the posts, I have learned "technical" things explained in a way even I understand, but most of all i feel I have made a "group of friends" many whom I have never met, and that is very important to me, and I thank you ALL.
So now to "MY AWARD": Having taken everything into consideration I have decided to award "My Member of the Year" for 2007 to a person whom I believe has pulled EVERYONE on blonde together, and that person is......................................
