Why do the septic tanks call it math when we all know its maths??
surely if it were math then there would only be 1 side of the equation???

It's "maths". The Americans call it "math" because they struggle to spell 5 letter words.

Math is used colloquially in English-speaking North America as a shortening of mathematics in the same way as "maths" in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc.
